Ans: Tanay, With a 79 percentile in JEE Mains (EWS, UP home state), your JEE Main rank is likely above 1 lakh, which is not sufficient for CSE at JSS Noida—2024 EWS home state cutoff for CSE was 89,312, and even IT closed at 1,33,625, making CSE/IT unlikely except in spot rounds if seats remain vacant. For MMMUT Gorakhpur, CSE/IT/ECE branches typically close under 20,000–40,000 ranks for reserved categories, so your chances are very slim. At HBTU Kanpur, CSE and ECE close at much higher percentiles, so admission is not feasible. KNIT Sultanpur’s ECE and IT branches had closing ranks between 75,000–95,000 and 65,000–75,000 respectively, so you may have a marginal chance for ECE or IT in spot rounds if seats are available, but CSE is out of reach.
