My name is Nancy and in my 10th marksheet category certificate dob certificate aadhar my name is Nancy but in 12th marksheet my name is nacny is there any issue in taking admission in Delhi University maine suna hai ki delhi University mei 12th marksheet and category certificate ka name match krte h agar mismatch hota h toh form reject ho jata hai toh aap meri help kijiya

Ans: Hi Nancy,

Your name matches with the following records: the 10th mark sheet, Aadhar card, and birth certificate; however, there is an issue with your 12th mark sheet.

If you don’t have time to correct this, you can take the following steps:

1. Contact a nearby Notary Public for guidance on obtaining a "Same Person Certificate."
2. Create a DigiLocker account and download all your records, including the 12th mark sheet. DigiLocker is linked to your Aadhar ID, which can help you manage this issue temporarily.

Just remember to apply for and obtain a fresh 12th mark sheet with the corrected name later on.

Best of luck!

Birth certificate has only her first name Kripa and surname is separate. While Aadhar has Full name First name+ Father name + Surname. 10th class marksheet has First name+Surname. Recently NTA mentioned that name in Aadhar and Class 10 marksheet should be same. Will this cause any problem
Ans: Hi Kamal,
Greetings!
Yes.
I want to address an important aspect of the admission process. It is crucial to ensure that the candidate's name is consistent across all documents to avoid unnecessary confusion during admission.

As you noted, there are no issues with the birth certificate and the SSLC/10th mark sheet, as both documents display the same name. However, I understand that the Aadhaar card includes the father's name, which differs from the other two records. It would be advisable to update the Aadhaar card to reflect the correct name. This adjustment will help prevent complications in the future.

I would like to share my own experience on this matter. In my case, while my name and initial are consistent across all records, there was a discrepancy where my initial appeared before the name in one document and after the name in another. This inconsistency was not accepted by the government agency. Consequently, I had to apply for a name change to align all records.

Based on my experience, I suggest you apply for a name change on the Aadhaar card, as you already have supporting documents like the birth certificate and 10th class mark sheet. If you feel that you need further assistance, please consider consulting a notary public nearby.

Lastly, please don’t delay this process, as it could hinder your registration on the NTA website.

with regards.
