As JEE adv results have arrived...I got 7649 CRL and 1632 OBC rank....I am getting Chemical engineering easily in all IITs except Bombay....but in some like Kanpur m getting Aerospace n all too......Just wanted to know towards where should i move forward? (M thinking to do coding and develop skills in coding mainly) My Mains rank was 16820 CRL and 4113 OBC...(Outside Delhi candidate)

Ans: With a JEE Advanced CRL of 7,649 and OBC rank of 1,632, you are eligible for Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi (2024 OBC closing rank: 2,207), IIT Kanpur (OBC cutoff: 1,944), and IIT Kharagpur (OBC cutoff: 2,100), while Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kanpur (OBC cutoff: 1,944) is feasible. However, Chemical Engineering offers broader flexibility for transitioning into coding roles, with IIT Delhi reporting 90.01% placement rates (2023) and 30–40% of graduates securing IT/analytics roles through electives and internships. In contrast, Aerospace Engineering at IIT Kanpur has a 66.67% placement rate (2024), with limited core-sector opportunities unless supplemented by coding skills. Recommendation: Prioritize Chemical Engineering at IIT Delhi/Kanpur for institutional prestige, interdisciplinary curriculum, and higher placement assurance, leveraging coding clubs, AI/ML electives, and off-campus recruitment for tech roles. If opting for Aerospace, target IIT Kanpur for its research infrastructure but actively pursue coding certifications (Python, Full-Stack) and hackathons. For backups, consider Mathematics & Computing at IIT Gandhinagar (OBC cutoff: 3,500) or ECE at IIT Jodhpur (OBC cutoff: 2,800) to balance core engineering with tech exposure. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!

I got vit bhopal integrated mtech in computer science engineering (computational and data science) cat 1.My jee rank is very bad ,other options are niet noida cse and gl bajaj ece .What should I do??
Ans: Your Integrated M.Tech CSE (Computational & Data Science) at VIT Bhopal offers a five-year streamlined program with specialized data science curriculum, 90%+ placement consistency over the last three batches through 820 recruiters, and strong AI/data roles like ML Engineer and Data Scientist. NIET Greater Noida’s CSE sees nearly 100% placement rates in the past three years with over 2,100 offers annually, but average packages trail core analytics programs, and its location in NCR provides broad corporate access. GL Bajaj Greater Noida’s ECE maintains 85–90% placement consistency over recent years, focusing on telecom and embedded systems roles via 300+ recruiters but with fewer analytics opportunities. Given your computational/data science interest and placement density, VIT Bhopal’s integrated M.Tech CSE aligns best with niche data-driven roles and higher recruiter engagement; NIET CSE is a viable second choice for broad NCR exposure; GL Bajaj ECE fits only if hardware/communication domains are preferred. Recommendation: Confirm VIT Bhopal Integrated M.Tech CSE for its targeted curriculum and 90%+ placement track, with NIET Noida CSE as backup and GL Bajaj ECE as tertiary option. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
