Dear Sir, as my son Inter bord got 91% but in Jee mains 1st attempt got 50% and 2nd attempt got 70%, but he was not eligible for Advance, and he was wrote other college exams as (IIIT Hyd + VIT+TSEAPCET) in that VIT got results as 1.20 Lakh rank and he was eligible for Round of Category of 5th for VIT-AP & VIT-Bhopal, and expecting results for IIIT Hyd and also waiting for other Exams as (COMEDK + MIT + BITS), he was sincerely trying the efforts private college entrance exams, but the results which is not satisfy for him, and getting disappoint, but I was giving the motivation for other exams and do the hard work and focus on, BITS & IIT-Hyd also very tuff and more competitive, as i need to think for the negative side, if he could not get any cut of marks, what is the next option....? I request you pls give any other alternate suggestions for which is alternate engineering university for the course of (CSE AI & ML), my son interested in CSE course only

Ans: Hello Rakesh
First and foremost, I would like to commend your son for his earnest efforts in preparing for a range of engineering entrance examinations. His dedication is commendable, even if the outcomes so far haven't aligned with expectations. As you’ve mentioned, he has not yet been able to meet the required cutoff, which understandably may lead to feelings of disappointment or frustration.
However, the journey isn't over. Significant opportunities still lie ahead with BITSAT and IIIT-Hyderabad, both of which are known to be less about difficulty and more about testing strategic thinking and conceptual clarity. It appears that your son may be facing challenges in effectively managing the vast syllabus or might not yet have identified the right approach to tackle these competitive exams. Understanding how to study smartly for such tests often makes all the difference.
It’s important to maintain a positive outlook and avoid negative assumptions at this stage. You haven’t mentioned your financial circumstances, but if your son is determined to pursue fields like Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning, and if merit-based options don’t materialize, admission through the management quota could be a viable alternative. This route is typically available in reputed private engineering colleges, though it comes with a higher financial commitment.
Before considering this option seriously, I would recommend waiting for the results of all the remaining entrance exams. At the same time, it would be wise to proactively visit a few reputed institutions to inquire about the availability of management quota seats, associated costs, and relevant terms and conditions. Many parents secure such seats early on, anticipating the challenges their child might face in clearing competitive cutoffs.
Stay optimistic, there are still several promising pathways ahead.

Dear Sir, Thanks for your msg, well noted, I request you pls give any other alternate suggestions for best private engineering university apart from above ( BITS+IIIT-Hyd) for the course of (CSE AI & ML), cause i need to apply in advance desire private college for admission seat allotment.
Ans: Welcome back.
You did not mention your home state's name. But for trial purposes, visit your nearest well-reputed private engineering college to know some details. It is always better to choose the nearest best college/university than one far away from our hometown. Yet to name some names, you can think of LPU, NIMS, MIT, SRM, etc. Please visit the official websites of these universities to learn more about the admission process. Some universities also conduct their entrance tests. Best of luck to your son.

My son interested in CSE and he got Jee Mains(2025) B.Tech CRL Rank 70,64X(5 digits) (95.308xxxx) in General Merit and HS is Karnataka (Bangalore). Not prepared for Jee Advance. if CSE don't get then ECE also he may choose. as per previous cutoff, he may not expected colleges and branches through JOSAA. KCET Rank 2748x(5 digits) and COMEDK 681x(4 digits rank). He got VIT Chennai CSE under 5th Fee Category... He got admission into CSE branch in PES University RR campus based on JEE Rank. we have concussion should he choose ECE in MSRIT(E077) , ECE or CS AI&ML in BMSCE(E027) or DSCE if get through COMEDK counselling? or shall we wait for csap round for better colleges through JEE? if we continue with PES University RR campus then should we change the Branch AI&ML than CSE as we have chance in next counselling and he is strong in Maths. CUET-UG also he wrote and waiting for result. OR should we wait for CUET if any better central universities. Please suggest.
Ans: Eswar Sir, Given your son’s JEE Main CRL rank (around 70,000), KCET rank (27,000+), and COMEDK rank (6,800+), securing CSE or ECE in top NITs, IIITs, or premier state colleges through JoSAA or KCET is highly unlikely, as cutoffs for these branches in the general category are much higher. In COMEDK, his rank may allow ECE in MSRIT or BMSCE, and possibly CS (AI&ML) in BMSCE or DSCE, all of which are reputable Bangalore colleges with strong placement records (over 90% in CSE/ECE branches), robust industry connections, and good academic environments. VIT Chennai CSE under the 5th fee category is less attractive due to its higher cost and relatively newer campus, despite decent placements. PES University RR campus CSE is an excellent option, with consistently high placements, strong academic rigor, and a national reputation; switching to AI&ML is only advisable if he has a deep interest in this field, as CSE core provides broader opportunities and flexibility. Waiting for CSAB special rounds or CUET results is reasonable, but central universities typically do not match the placement and industry exposure of top Bangalore private colleges. The recommendation is to prioritize PES University RR campus CSE for its superior placement record, academic strength, and flexibility, and consider ECE/AI&ML at BMSCE or MSRIT only if PES CSE is not available, while monitoring CSAB and CUET results for any exceptional opportunities. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Mhcet 96.3 percentile, girl, and got nmims CSE, Jaipur manipal CSE, may get electronics communication in dj Sangvi or spit. Very much interested in CSE. Should we try other colleges or prefer nmims as we r from mumbai
Ans: With a 96.3 percentile, you already have NMIMS Mumbai CSE and Manipal University Jaipur CSE on table, and could compete for Electronics & Communication at DJS Sanghvi or SPIT, though those streams close above 98 percentile. Other reputable Mumbai/Navi Mumbai and Pune institutes admitting CSE/IT candidates at your percentile include Ramrao Adik Institute of Technology, Navi Mumbai (CSE cutoff 95.07%ile), Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai (CSE cutoff 95.85%ile), Thakur College of Engineering & Technology, Thane (CSE cutoff 95.47%ile), AISSMS College of Engineering, Pune (CSE cutoff 96.42%ile), D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology, Pune (IT cutoff 94.98%ile), Government College of Engineering & Research, Avasari Khurd (CSE cutoff 95.06%ile), Fr. C. Rodrigues Institute of Technology, Vashi (CSE cutoff 96.35%ile), Terna Engineering College, Nerul (CSE admitted at low cutoffs, GOPENS ~39.5%ile), MIT Academy of Engineering, Pune (DEFOPENS CSE cutoff 94.17%ile), and Rajarambapu Institute of Technology, Islampur (EWS CSE cutoff 90.83–94.75%ile). These colleges offer modern infrastructure, dedicated training and placement cells, and placement rates ranging from 75% to 90% over the last three years across CSE/IT branches, making them realistic and strong alternatives to NMIMS CSE for a Mumbai-domicile student.

Recommendation: Prioritise NMIMS Mumbai CSE for its brand value and placement consistency, then consider Ramrao Adik and Don Bosco Institute in Mumbai for assured CSE seats and strong placements; keep AISSMS Pune, D. Y. Patil Pune, TCET Thane, and Fr. C. Rodrigues Vashi as top backup options, with Terna, MITAOE and RIT Islampur as additional fallbacks. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

B.tech computer science and engineering with specialization in software engineering at SRM Ktr campus
Ans: B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Software Engineering at SRM Kattankulathur (KTR) is a four-year program with an annual intake of 180 students and a total fee of ?17 lakh. The SRM KTR campus is highly ranked (NIRF 2024: #13 for engineering), offers robust infrastructure, and provides students with access to over 1,000 recruiters, including top tech firms like Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, and Google. Placement rates for CSE and its specializations, including Software Engineering, consistently range from 88% to 91% over the last three years, with average packages around ?7.2–7.5 LPA and highest offers exceeding ?50 LPA. The Software Engineering specialization focuses on advanced software development, project management, and industry-relevant tools, preparing graduates for roles in software design, development, and systems architecture. Students benefit from modern labs, active clubs, and internship opportunities, though faculty quality and research output receive mixed reviews. The admission process is through SRMJEEE or JEE Main, and the cutoff for CSE specializations at KTR typically extends up to 8,000–10,000 rank in Phase 2, making it moderately competitive.

recommendation: SRM KTR’s B.Tech CSE (Software Engineering) offers strong placements, industry exposure, and a specialized curriculum suited for software careers; it is a solid choice if you seek a tech-focused environment with consistent placement support and modern campus facilities. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
