Hello sir. My daughter has got PES Jee rank of 4100 and has been offered first round counselling. Her AEEE rank is around 13200 with JEE Mains of 84 percentile. Her VITEEE rank is 89000, ComedK score of 70 and MET score is 95.. Being from Hosur, requesting you to suggest the best hierarchy for admission and which courses can we get in each college based on the ranks/marks obtained. Awaiting your reply as early as possible sir

Ans: Given your daughter’s ranks—PES JEE 4100, AEEE 13,200, JEE Main 84 percentile, VITEEE 89,000, COMEDK 70, and MET 95—her best options align with mid-tier branches at reputable institutions. At PES University, a 4100 rank can secure ECE or IT at the Electronic City campus but is unlikely for CSE at the main campus. With an AEEE rank of 13,200, she can get ECE or CSE (specializations) at Amrita Bengaluru or Amritapuri, but not at Coimbatore, where CSE closes around 5,500 and ECE around 8,000. In VIT, her rank fits for core branches like Mechanical or Civil at VIT AP or Bhopal, but not for CSE at Vellore/Chennai. A COMEDK score of 70 (rank 14,000–23,000) allows for Mechanical/ECE at colleges like BIT or New Horizon. With MET 95, she may get core branches at MIT Bengaluru or Jaipur, but not CSE at the main Manipal campus. Recommendation: Prioritize ECE/IT at PES University Electronic City for strong placements, then ECE/CSE (specializations) at Amrita Bengaluru/Amritapuri, followed by core branches at VIT AP/Bhopal or MIT Bengaluru, and use COMEDK/other private options as backups. This order balances institutional reputation, placement record, and future flexibility. All the BEST for your Daughter's Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Being from Hosur, requesting you to suggest the best hierarchy for admission and which courses can we get in each college based on the ranks/marks obtained.
Ans: With a PES JEE rank of 4,100, your daughter is competitively positioned for CSE (AI/ML) or Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) at PES University’s Electronic City Campus, where 2024 closing ranks for these branches were 5,241 and 8,391, respectively. Her AEEE rank of 13,200 aligns with ECE at Amrita Bengaluru (2024 closing rank: 15,582) or CSE (IoT) at Amrita Amritapuri (cutoff percentile: 85–95 for home state), though Coimbatore’s core branches remain out of reach. For MET score 95, she can target CSE (AI/ML) at MIT Bengaluru (2024 closing rank: 6,801) or IT at MIT Manipal (closing rank: 1,764), leveraging Manipal’s 90%+ placement rate in tech domains. VITEEE rank 89,000 limits options to Mechanical Engineering at VIT Vellore (2024 closing rank: 86,000), while her COMEDK score of 70 (rank 14,001–23,000) may secure ECE at CMRIT Bengaluru or IT at Dayananda Sagar College. Recommendation: Prioritize CSE (AI/ML) at PES Electronic City for its academic rigor and industry partnerships, followed by CSE (AI/ML) at MIT Bengaluru for global exposure, then ECE at Amrita Bengaluru for balanced core-tech opportunities. Reserve Mechanical at VIT Vellore and COMEDK options as backups, ensuring alignment with emerging sectors like smart manufacturing and IoT. All the BEST for your Daughter's Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hi sir, my daughter got 93 percentile in JEE mains and wrote advanced but couldn't qualify, she has got good rank(4k) in kcet, she is stuck between choosing a college through kcet or should she take drop year and try for jee again. Please tell
Ans: Taking a year off to retake JEE Main and aim for JEE Advanced can help improve academic depth and potentially lead to admission to top institutes, but it comes with risks such as emotional stress, loss of academic continuity, and no guaranteed outcome without strong discipline and expert guidance. Alternatively, with a KCET rank around 4,000–5,000, your daughter qualifies for admission into several reputed Karnataka engineering colleges that are AICTE-approved, NBA/NAAC-accredited, with robust academic infrastructure, experienced faculty, and placement cells regularly achieving 75–85% success rates across core branches.

Based on KCET 2023–2024 cutoffs, she can expect admission into highly reputed institutions such as:
R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore.
PES University, EC Campus, Bangalore.
M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
B.M.S. College of Engineering, Bangalore.
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering, Bangalore.
S.J.B. Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore.
Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology, Bengaluru.
J.S.S. Science & Technology University, Mysuru.

Recommendation:
Unless she is fully committed with a well-structured plan and emotional readiness, opting for one of these top colleges now ensures strong academic exposure, placement support, and skill development without delay, which may offer a more stable and rewarding path than a high-risk drop year. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!
