Sir, I had a question regarding placements. I've 3 year gap after 12th as I was preparing for NEET & aiming for a gov mbbs college..but unfortunately couldn't make it. Now I'm planning to switch to Btech in computer science through state entrance exam. Will this 3-year gap after 12th affect my placements in future? Do companies reject candidates solely because of such gaps? Im fully commited to working hard, building strong technical skills and doing internships to gain experience. I just want to understand if this gap will be a major issue during placements oncampus or offcampus & how can I overcome it effectively.

Ans: Being a double dropper is not a problem for placements, as companies usually care about your skills, college performance, and CGPA rather than the number of attempts. Since you already have a 79 percentile (SC category), you should wait for the WBJEE results first. Jadavpur and other good state colleges often provide excellent opportunities. If you don’t get a satisfying seat, taking a double drop with Allen Kota is a valid option, provided you are confident about significantly improving your JEE score. Just be sure you are mentally prepared, consistent, and ready to give your best this time. (Basically, we do not recommend a single drop either. But if you are thinking of taking a second drop, please reconsider your idea 100 times).

Ans: Yes, joining NFSU Gandhinagar’s M.Tech. in Cybersecurity is a solid choice, offering a strong curriculum, advanced labs, autonomous university status, and excellent placements. However, it is highly recommended to visit the campus in person to learn about the labs, hostel facilities, expert faculties, and the placement record by visiting the placement office. Do not make a vital decision about admission from home, especially as a female candidate.

Ans: Through AI Quota, JEE scorers from any state (including SC/ST) are eligible for JAC Delhi and JAC Chandigarh, as domicile restrictions mainly apply only to state-quota seats.

Ans: Chances with AIIMS are very slim. You have a chance in AIQ seats at GMC Guntur and Rangaraya Kakinada, but it's less likely at Andhra Medical and Telangana college; eligibility depends on state-quota counselling. Recommending checking the cutoff of previous years for more clarity. The candidate and parents need to put in effort on their own regarding cutoffs of various colleges to check the chances of getting a seat or not.
