Ans: or most students, VIT-AP (CAT 3) for CSE is generally considered the better option over SRM KTR for Electronic and Computer Engineering. VIT-AP, while a newer campus, benefits from the strong reputation of the main VIT Vellore and often has stronger placements, particularly in the tech sector. Ans: At AEEE rank ~19,000, Mechanical at Amrita Coimbatore is likely, even if not in the best scholarship slab. EEE at Coimbatore is possible but borderline, especially for the other-state quota; a home-state advantage may improve chances. Trend data shows Coimbatore EEE around 6000–22000 for home-state and 4000–16000 for other-state, while Mechanical is around 7000–32000 home-state and 5000–22000 other-state. I had retired from Govt. of Rajasthan in November, 2022. I was reopened GPF Account and my GPF Fund Rs. 35 lakhs had deposited. Now I want to know that is the accrued interest exampt from tax or not. After retirement for Rajasthan Government employes, GPF account can open contnue and all the retirement funds van deposit. Till date I have not been deposited any income tax.

My Daughter has scored 96.34 percentile in JEE Mains,she will be appearing for JEE advanced,she is more comfortable with Physics,and not keen to pursue computer science,can you suggest which branch of engineering can develop her interest towards physics

Ans: For a physics-oriented student not keen on CSE, the best branches are: Engineering Physics, Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials/Metallurgical, Energy Engineering, and Instrumentation. JoSAA’s official seat matrix includes Engineering Physics, Physics-integrated courses, Materials, VLSI, Mechanical and related programmes across IIT/NIT/GFTI options. In IITs, target Engineering Physics only if JEE Advanced rank is strong; otherwise, consider Mechanical/Materials/Electrical in newer IITs. In NITs, at around the 96.34 percentile, top NIT Physics-related branches may be tough, but Mechanical, Electrical, ECE, Metallurgy, Production, and instrumentation in mid/lower NITs or GFTIs may be realistic through JoSAA/CSAB. If possible, it is advisable to have the following backups: IISER BS-MS, B.Sc. Physics at DU/HCU/BHU, or private options like Shiv Nadar/Ashoka for physics. Ans: Chances are, you will get ECE/EE/Mechanical/Chemical in mid-tier NITs, and possibly CSE in newer NITs. Your best strategy is to focus fully on JEE Advanced and the second attempt at BITSAT, because IITs or BITS Pilani/Goa/Hyderabad (especially Circuital branches) would be significantly better long-term options than joining VIT or settling early for lower NIT branches.

Ans: Chances of CSE are very slim to nil. However, ECE may still be possible in Categories 4–5, depending on the counselling round and seat availability. It is better to have an alternative ready as a backup.

Sir. Greetings for the day! My daughter's rank is 9918 in AEEE-2026. We are looking for CSE or ECE in Coimbatore , Chennai & Bangalore. Please guide us and confirm the any possibility in getting above campus. Thanks.

Ans: At AEEE rank 9,918, Coimbatore CSE is tough/borderline, while Coimbatore ECE is possible but not guaranteed, especially if she is outside the Tamil Nadu home-state quota. Amrita’s official admission page confirms the 2026 B.Tech admissions/campuses, and Shiksha notes Amrita does not officially publish fixed opening/closing ranks, so rank predictions are expert-trend-based. The best chances are Chennai CSE/CSE-specialisation/ECE and Bengaluru ECE; Bengaluru CSE may be borderline. Recent trend analysis places Chennai CSE/ECE much more reachable around this rank than Coimbatore CSE.
