Sir, my son got AIR 5076 in JEE Advanced. I wanted to know which 2-Tier IIT will he get admission for ECE/EEE/Chemical/ Mechanical engineering? His is General category n Home State is Goa.

Congratulations to you and your son for grand success in JEE. He has a strong chance of getting a seat in a top-class IIT with the ECE/EEE branch. If ECE is offered, then drop the idea of Mechanical.

What to choose from Chemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur or ECE from NIT Trichy?

Ans: Prefer Chemical @ IIT Kharagpur if your son is interested in it. Both ECE and Chemical are different branches. The work culture of IT field is different from the chemical industry. The young generation loves a 5-day working style. The final choice will be yours and your son's. Best of luck.

Good evening Sir, as the first round has started my son is getting ECE in NIT TRICHY , for the second round he might get Mechanical in IIT HYDERABAD or IIT Guwahati? Pls suggest what to choose, he is more incline to ECE or should he wait for other rounds . There r less chances he will get in top IITs ECE or EE branch with 5076 Advanced rank. Mechanical is his 3rd choice

Ans: Prefer ECE at Trichy. If mechanical is not an option for your son, then please drop it. You can wait for the second round for degradation. During counseling, magic can happen with someone. Stay hopeful. Best of luck.

Is NIT Trichy's ECE better than BITS Pilani EE ?

Ans: Both are strong options. However, when comparing NIT and BITS, the pendulum leans towards BITS. You did not mention anything about BITS in your previous follow-ups. I suggest EE @ BITS for a more adaptable career path.

Good afternoon sir. I have already freezed Ece @NIT Trichy, but if by chance i get EE in Bits Pilani what do u suggest me to take? Both ECE n EE r ok for me.

Ans: If Bits offers you EE, then prefer it. Otherwise, ECE @ NIT is also a good option. Be happy with what you get. Grow with the prestigious and reputed institution. Best of luck.
