To become eligible, you must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, and scored at least 50% in PCB (for General category).

You have two main options:

Reappear for 12th with Biology via NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) or a recognized open board. Choose PCB + English subjects and complete the exams in about a year.

Take Biology as an additional subject through a recognized board. NEET now accepts Biology as an additional subject if done from a valid board.

Once you fulfill the PCB criteria from a recognized board, you'll be eligible to appear for NEET 2026.
