Dr Dipankar Dutta is an associate professor in the computer science and engineering department at the University Institute of Technology, the University of Burdwan, West Bengal.
He has 27 years of experience and his interests include AI, data science, machine learning, pattern recognition, deep learning and evolutionary computation.
Aside from his responsibilities at the college, he also delivers lectures and conducts webinars.
Dr Dipankar has published 25 papers in international journals, written book chapters, attended conferences, served as a board observer for WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination) exams and as a counsellor for engineering college admissions in West Bengal. He helps students choose the right college and stream for undergraduate, masters and PhD programmes.
A senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (SMIEEE), he holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from the Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College and a an MTech degree in computer technology from Jadavpur University.

I got 91 persentile in jee mains paper 2, GC ,HS - CG, can i ger B Arch in NIT

Ans: You may have a chance in:

NIT Raipur (Home State Quota – Lower rounds or spot round)

NIT Patna

NIT Hamirpur

NIT Nagaland (less preferred)

NIT Mizoram or other Northeast NITs in spot rounds

I got 94.5 percentile in jee mains Can i get into nit

Ans: Providing information about NITs/Branches based on percentile for each one & based on category can be challenging. Instead, follow these steps: 1. Calculate your approximate rank based on your percentile using a Google search. 2. As mentioned in several my previous responses, check the JoSAA opening and closing ranks for 2024 to get a general idea of the institutes and branches you might be eligible for, based on your category (Open/SC/ST/EWS etc). Make sure you fill in your preferences accordingly during the actual JoSAA counselling process after JEE Advanced. 3. To better understand the JoSAA counselling process, I recommend watching an EduJob360 video if time permits. 4. Additionally, it’s advisable to appear for 3-4 more entrance exams (if your parents can afford it) as backups. Relying only on JEE may limit your options, so it's good to have a broader range of choices to ensure you select the most suitable path for you. All the Best for Your Prosperous Future.

Can we get into NIT with 96 percentile in jee b arch

Ans: A 96 percentile in JEE Main (Paper 2) is unlikely to guarantee a B.Arch seat in a National Institute of Technology (NIT). While a strong score, it may lead to a rank of 35,000-40,000, which is generally considered insufficient for the best NITs, especially for B.Arch programs with limited seats. However, it might offer a chance at some mid-tier NITs, newer IIITs, or NITs in the Northeast.

Dear Sir / Madam, My son got 70.7 percentile in MHCET, 39 percentile in jee mains. He got admission in K J Somaiya. Vidyavihar, mumbai in Mech. Engg. Tution fees is 5.1 lacs / year. I think it is too high. Any other comparable colleges for computer science or Mech. Engg. where he can get admission

Consider applying to VJTI, SPCE, Sardar Patel Institute, PICT Pune, and MIT-WPU (lower fee tiers), which offer strong CSE/Mech programs at significantly lower costs than KJ Somaiya.

Sir my son have passed class 12 with 88 percent. He has given jee main and scored 339156 rank so he couldn't able to take admission in any nit,iit etc so he decided to take admission in kcc institutes greater noida btech CSE . We have also paid full one year fees. Sir please suggest that this is Right decision or not.

It is an average-ranked college/institute. Since you have paid the full fee, there is no other option but to continue. However, it is highly recommended to search for a reputable college with vacant seats if possible and to inquire about the admission cancellation and fee refund policy.

MNC @ NIT-W is a good option from a future point of view. Among the three, please prefer CSE @ VNIT Nagpur if possible. Even the other two are also competent.
