I got 88.58%ile can i get any iiit and gfti

Ans: With an 88.58 percentile in JEE Main (general category), admission to top IIITs is not possible, as most CSE and ECE branches in IIITs require a percentile of 95–98 or higher, and even the lowest closing ranks for IIITs generally correspond to percentiles above 90–93. For GFTIs, the cutoffs for popular branches are also higher, but you may have a slim chance at lesser-known GFTIs or in non-core branches, especially in later rounds or through state quota if eligible. Most likely, you will not secure CSE or ECE in any IIIT or GFTI through JoSAA with this percentile, but you can target private engineering colleges or state-level government institutes where cutoffs are lower and admission is feasible for branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical.

The recommendation is to apply to private or state engineering colleges for CSE or allied branches, as IIIT and GFTI admission at your percentile is highly unlikely; use JoSAA counselling for all possible options but keep stronger backup plans in private institutions. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
