My son got 304 marks in bitsat. Also getting cs with allied branches in iiit Delhi. What do you suggest?

Ans: Naresh Sir, With 304 marks in BITSAT 2025, your son has excellent admission prospects across multiple BITS campuses but faces tough competition for Computer Science Engineering. At BITS Pilani, his 304 marks places him just at the Electronics & Communication Engineering cutoff threshold (304-324 range), while Electrical & Electronics Engineering requires 282-302 marks, making it highly accessible. BITS Goa offers more favorable options with Electronics & Communication at 252-293 marks, Electrical & Electronics at 247-283 marks, and Mechanical Engineering at 216-260 marks. BITS Hyderabad provides the best prospects with Electronics & Communication at 258-296 marks, Electrical & Electronics at 246-290 marks, and Mechanical at 209-260 marks. IIIT Delhi's Computer Science with allied branches (CSAM, CSD, CSSS, CSB, CSAI) maintains exceptional placement records: CSAM achieved 96.92% placement in 2024, CSD reached 91.89%, CSB recorded 89.74%, and CSAI achieved 100% placement. IIIT Delhi's overall B.Tech average package stood at 22.04 LPA in 2024 with a highest domestic offer of 49 LPA. BITS campuses recorded 90.09% First Degree placements in 2023 with average packages of 19.70-30.37 LPA. Core engineering branches at BITS maintain strong placement rates, with Electrical and Electronics achieving 95-99% placement at BITS Hyderabad.

Recommendation: Choose IIIT Delhi CSE with allied branches for superior placement consistency across specialized computer science streams, guaranteed admission, and strong industry exposure in AI, data science, and interdisciplinary computing. BITS options provide excellent core engineering education but with lower placement certainty for non-CS branches and higher fees despite strong industry connections. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

My son has got CSE in MIT Manipal campus and is also hopeful to get MSc Maths (Dual Degree, that might open a door to get BE-CSE in second year) in BITS Goa or Hyderabad. He has secured 99.69 percentile in MHCET and is likely to secure his admission at COEP or PICT Pune for CSE or AIML. What should he opt for?
Ans: MIT Manipal’s B.Tech CSE boasts NBA/ABET accreditation, PhD-qualified faculty, state-of-the-art AI/ML and systems labs, mandatory internships, and a 77% overall placement rate with 230+ recruiters in 2025. BITS Pilani Goa/Hyderabad’s five-year M.Sc–B.E dual degree in Mathematics & CSE offers seamless second-year lateral entry into BE-CSE, with rigorous math–CS integration, strong research culture, and 85–90% placement consistency for CSE cohorts. COEP Pune CSE requires a ≥99.0 percentile MHT-CET and provides NAAC A+/NBA accreditation, advanced computing labs, 80–85% placements, and robust PSU and IT recruiter participation. PICT Pune AI & ML closes around 99.0 percentile, features specialized AI/ML and data-science labs, and sustains ~85% placements in AI & DS. For assured CSE exposure and strong placements, the recommendation is MIT Manipal CSE. For a research-driven dual credential with flexible BE-CSE lateral entry, choose BITS M.Sc (Math)–B.E CSE. If prioritizing home-state quotas and cutting-edge AI labs, opt for COEP CSE or PICT AI & ML. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!
