My son got 20222 rank in JEE Mains -2024. His interst is CSE. Although he has been alloted IIIT Bhopal CSE. IIIT Bhopal is running for transit campus and still it will take years to move in permanent campus. Now we are planning to go for CSAB where chances are fir MANIT Bhopal EC, Mathematics and Data Science. Also cgances are for NIT Trichy Civil, Production and Metallurgy. NIT Allahabad ME Kindly suggest.

Ans: Prefer NIT-A-ME, followed by MANIT-B-EC, if you get through CSAB. However, lock IIIT-B-CSE as a back-up. All the BEST for Your Son's Bright Future.

My son has got 93.7 percentile in jee mains gen category home state MP . He secured 18k rank in VITEEE by which he got CSE in VIT Vellore . He secured 202 rank in NMIMS CET by which he got CSE in Mumbai Campus. He has also got CSE in UPES Dehradun and also CSE in SRM Main Campus. Is there any chance of getting any NIT,IIIT or GFTI in JOSSAA or CSAB? From the above colleges mentioned which should be the best choice.
Ans: With a JEE Main percentile of 93.7 (CRL ~94,500), securing CSE in NITs/IIITs via JoSAA/CSAB is unlikely, as top institutions like NIT Trichy (CSE cutoff: ~4,661–9,271) and IIIT Hyderabad (CSE cutoff: ~1,500–6,000) require ranks below 20,000. However, non-CSE branches like Mechanical/Civil Engineering at NIT Agartala (cutoff: ~180,051) or ECE at IIITDM Jabalpur (cutoff: ~17,195) may be feasible in later CSAB rounds, though prioritizing these risks losing existing offers. Among current options, VIT Vellore CSE (93% placement rate, 867+ recruiters like Microsoft/Amazon) offers the strongest academic rigor and industry network, followed by NMIMS Mumbai CSE (prime location, ~90% placements in tech roles). UPES Dehradun (96% placements) and SRM Main Campus (~85% placements) lag in institutional reputation. Recommend prioritizing VIT Vellore CSE for optimal career prospects, while monitoring CSAB for niche NIT/IIIT branches as backups. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!
