Got 14046 rank in CET, want to get the advice for the best colleges in Bangalore for ECE
Ans: With a KCET rank of 14,046, admission to Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at premier institutions like RVCE (2024 GM cutoff: 746) or BMSCE (1,850–1,950) is unattainable. However, MSRIT Bangalore (ECE cutoff: 7,000–15,500) may offer opportunities in later counselling rounds, given its 85–90% placement rate in embedded systems and IoT roles via partnerships with Qualcomm and Bosch. CMRIT Bangalore (expected ECE cutoff: 25,000–35,000) and RNSIT (ECE cutoff: 15,909–20,630) are feasible options, reporting 80–85% placement rates with recruiters like Infosys and Wipro. Reva University (expected ECE cutoff: 25,000–35,000) also provides assured admission, leveraging its NAAC A++ accreditation and industry-aligned labs in VLSI design. While PES University (ECE cutoff: 8,380–8,550) and Dayananda Sagar College (7,567–7,793) remain competitive, prioritize MSRIT during later rounds and secure CMRIT/RNSIT as backups. Explore EEE or Telecommunication Engineering at NIE Mysuru (cutoff: 9,000–12,000) or BMSIT (10,500–13,000) for broader admission prospects, ensuring alignment with Bangalore’s tech ecosystem. Recommendation: Target MSRIT ECE in extended counselling phases, followed by CMRIT/RNSIT, and consider interdisciplinary branches at mid-tier colleges to balance academic rigor and placement stability. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Thanks sir. Pl provide details about the inter disciplinary courses.
Ans: Several leading Bengaluru engineering institutes offer undergraduate degrees that blend core engineering with cross-domain skills:
IIIT Bangalore features a 5-year Integrated M.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication with electives in data science, digital society, product design and management, plus minor options in liberal arts.
MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology provides B.E. programs in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and Mechatronics with industry-aligned labs, hackathons and electives spanning cybersecurity, IoT, robotics and statistics.
RV College of Engineering launched a B.Tech (Hons.) CSE with a minor track allowing students to pursue interdisciplinary electives from design, liberal arts and management schools, selected in semester three through final year.
PES University’s B.Tech streams include specializations in AI & ML, IoT & Cybersecurity, and Big-Data Analytics, alongside Diploma Trainee Engineer modules in mechatronics, smart manufacturing and automation under the BEST initiative with Bajaj Auto.
BMS College of Engineering offers B.E. in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science and Machine Learning with shared CSE foundation, applied math, project-based labs and electives in HCI, AR/VR and quantum computing.
Christ University provides B.Tech in CSE (AI & ML), Data Science and a Design School B.Des, integrating communication design, product and interaction design within engineering curricula.
CMR Institute of Technology and Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering both run B.E. AI & ML and Data Science degrees with core-plus-interdisciplinary labs in cybersecurity, HCI and business analytics.
NMIT Bangalore offers UG programs in Data Science, AI & ML and Information Science with state-of-the-art research labs for robotics, renewable energy and big-data analytics that foster multidisciplinary projects.
Recommendation: Prioritize programs at IIIT Bangalore, MSRIT and RVCE for structured integrated degrees with robust interdisciplinary minors and industry collaborations, ensuring both depth and breadth across technology, design and management domains. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Got 2022 rank in PESU KCET rank. What’s the probability of getting the ECE branch or any other branch ?
Ans: With a KCET rank of 2,022 at PES University, securing Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) is highly probable, as the 2024 Round 1 ECE cutoff was 3,018 and is expected to remain between 3,000–3,200 in 2025. Computer Science Engineering (CSE) is not possible, as its cutoff is much lower (1,247 in 2024, expected 1,200–1,400 in 2025). Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AIML) may be marginal, with last year’s cutoff at 2,641. Other branches such as Electrical Engineering (5,037–6,613) and Mechanical Engineering (9,117–19,130) are easily accessible at your rank. Placement rates for ECE and other branches at PES exceed 85%, with strong industry connections and modern infrastructure.
Recommendation: You have an excellent chance to secure ECE, Electrical, Mechanical, or Biotechnology at PES University, but CSE is not possible at your current rank. Prioritize ECE for the best blend of placements and core opportunities.

Hi got the 2022 rank in PESU KCET ranking. And not Govt’:CET ranking. What’s the possibility of getting the ECE or other branch in PES ? Please advice
Ans: With a 2022 KCET SCK (Scheduled Caste Karnataka) rank of 33,986, your chances for Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) or other core branches at PES University are limited but possible for select branches. The 2023 and 2024 KCET closing ranks for ECE in the SCG (Scheduled Caste General) category were 43,645 and 34,210 respectively, indicating that ECE was available up to around 34,000–43,000 rank for SC candidates in recent years. For Computer Science Engineering (CSE), the SCG closing rank was 22,545 in 2024 and 18,840 in 2023, so CSE is not possible at your rank. Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) had a closing rank of 59,225 in 2024, so you have a good chance for EEE and also for Mechanical and Biotechnology, which have even higher closing ranks for SC candidates. General category cutoffs are much lower, but SC category cutoffs for ECE and EEE are within your rank range, especially in later rounds.
The recommendation is to prioritize EEE, ECE, Mechanical, or Biotechnology at PES University, as your SC rank of 33,986 is well within the closing range for these branches, while CSE is not feasible at this rank. Participate in all rounds of counselling to maximize your chances for ECE or EEE.
