I got 13000 rank in IAT,Is there any possibility of me getting an iiser?

Ans: Chenna, With an IAT 2025 general category rank of 13,000, admission to any IISER is not possible. The expected closing ranks for general category candidates at even the newest and least competitive IISERs, such as Berhampur and Tirupati, are in the range of 3,800 to 4,000, and other campuses close much earlier. Analysis of multiple sources confirms that even after all counseling rounds, general category admissions have not extended beyond 4,000–4,500 in recent years. The total seat pool is about 2,363 across all IISERs, and the rising competition has pushed cutoffs higher, with a safe general category score now requiring a rank well below 4,000. No IISER campus, including newer ones, has admitted general category students at ranks as high as 13,000, and there is no precedent for such high closing ranks in any round, including spot rounds.

recommendation: With a general category rank of 13,000 in IAT 2025, IISER admission is not possible; focus on alternative science or engineering colleges, state universities, or private institutions to continue your academic journey without delay. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
