My son is getting CSE in Chandigarh institute of Engineering and Technology Chandigarh and getting Electronic and Communication Engineering in NIT Hamirpur. Which should be preferred

Ans: Chandigarh Institute of Engineering and Technology’s CSE branch has sustained 86–88% placement rates over the past three years, with over 100 recruiters visiting annually and core IT roles from companies like Cisco, ServiceNow, and ZS Associates, complemented by strong training in software engineering, data structures, and project management . NIT Hamirpur’s ECE department records 63–77% placement consistency in the last three years, driven by 80–100 eligible students per batch and recruiters such as Samsung, Oracle, and Accenture focusing on telecom, embedded systems, and hardware roles, backed by a well-equipped electronics lab and interdisciplinary labs for VLSI and IoT . Considering higher placement density, broader software-sector access, and Chandigarh’s proximity, CIET Chandigarh CSE is preferable; choose NIT Hamirpur ECE only if core electronics and communication engineering are your son’s primary interests. Recommendation: Opt for CIET Chandigarh CSE for stronger overall placement outcomes and versatile IT roles, with NIT Hamirpur ECE as a specialized backup. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
