My Son is doing B.Tech ECE in tier 1 college with 8.8 cgpa in 4th year running did selected in very reputed bank as manager 1 role . My questionis wher he should mive euther in Bank job or in core branch or M tech

Ans: Respected Sir,
First of all, congratulations to your son on getting a Manager-1 role in a reputed bank — that’s a great achievement straight out of engineering!
Option 1: Join the Bank Job (Manager Role)
Pros:
? Reputed position, good salary, job security
? Fast-tracked promotion path in PSU/private banks
? Opens up career options in finance, fintech, analytics, and leadership
? He can still do MBA later (IIM, ISB) if he wants growth

Cons:
? Not related to his ECE core field
? May feel disconnected if he’s truly interested in tech/engineering

Recommended if he enjoys managing, interacting, and doesn’t want deep technical work.
Option 2: Go for Core ECE Job
Pros:
? Stays aligned with his B.Tech specialization
? Better for long-term roles in electronics, embedded systems, chip design, etc.
? May grow in tech-based roles or move to R&D companies
Cons:
? Core jobs can have lower starting salaries and limited growth without a master’s or deep experience
? He’ll need GATE/M.Tech or strong project work to get into top companies
Recommended only if he’s passionate about electronics, devices, or wants to go abroad for MS.
Option 3: Go for M.Tech (through GATE)
Pros:
? Specialization in a core ECE field (VLSI, embedded, etc.)
? Entry into top PSUs, research labs, or higher packages in product companies
? May open door to PhD or teaching if interested

Cons:
? 2 more years of study
? Needs good GATE rank for top IITs or IISc
? Still may not guarantee better job than bank unless in a niche area

Recommended if he’s academically inclined and wants deep core specialization.

Namaskar, My son has got 93.60 percentile in JEE mains 2026 with General rank 100144 and OBC NCL rank 32618. I request you to kindly guide me can he get admission in SGSITS, Indore in CSE / IT / ETC branch having MP domicile or any other better option as per your recommendation.
Ans: Govind Sir, With 93.60 percentile, CRL 1,00,144 and OBC-NCL rank 32,618 (MP domicile), your son should try both MP BE counselling and JoSAA. For SGSITS Indore, recent MP-counselling data show General home-state closing ranks around CSE 18,410, IT 37,589, ETC 48,484 in 2025, so CSE looks difficult, IT is borderline, and ETC appears the most realistic; OBC-MP quota may improve chances somewhat. For JoSAA, at OBC 32,618, expect mainly lower-demand branches in mid/lower NITs, IIITs and GFTIs, not CSE/IT in top institutes. My recommendation: SGSITS ETC/IT first, then good MP colleges like IET-DAVV/JEC, while keeping JoSAA + CSAB as backup. (I suggest you also cross-check the JoSAA opening and closing ranks data from the last 2–3 years before filling in the maximum number of your son’s preferred institutions and branches during counselling). ALL the BEST for Your Son's Prosperous Future!
