I didn’t take the JEE this year, but I still believe I have a shot at getting into an NIT since I’m in the SC category. Honestly, I’m not too particular about which branch I end up in. I spoke to some seniors in my city about various college programs, but their feedback was pretty much the same: “Avoid this college and that one.” Now I’m left wondering — is taking a drop the right move? If I focus on JEE prep, I could also boost my chances of scoring well in MHT-CET. That might open doors to better colleges like PICT, SPIT, or VIT Pune. On the flip side, I could stick with this Tier-3 college (Jawahar Institute of Technology, Nashik). There’s even a possibility of pursuing the IIT Madras BS degree alongside my studies there over the next four years. Ultimately, my main aim is to ace a government exam like the SSC or land a spot in a PSU and other government exams. I just want to secure my future through engineering and find a good job to help improve my family’s financial situation.
