I didn't appeared in jee 2024 or boards 2024 but still as per the rules of jee advanced conducting body 2024 will be considered as my first appearance in boards because I was registered for the exams by the school, doesn't matter the student passed or failed or anything else Jee advanced asks for the year in which student appeared for class 12 exams ( means the year he was supposed to give the exam ) I mistook it as the year in which passed 12th exams both terms are entirely different, this doubt was clarified by a famous physics teacher of "compeitushun" in one of his videos

Ans: Now it is clear to me:
In your case, you registered in 2024, which counts as your first attempt. Therefore, your eligible attempts for JEE Advanced are only in 2024 and 2025. This means you will not be eligible for JEE Advanced in 2026. With your 97th percentile in 2025, you can use it for JEE Advanced 2025, but not for 2026, as that is outside your eligibility period.

Requesting you to stop our Q/A here. To remove all the complexity from your mind, I once again request you to download the brochure of JEE (Adv) to know the eligibility criteria, or call the helpline, or write an email to NTA asking for the eligibility criteria.
