Sir/ Madam my daughter has not got good marks in jee main 1, can you suggest which private college is better for mechanical engineering right now we have filled all major forms and have got offer from SGT university Gurgaon. Your input will be very valuable.

Ans: Hello Dear,
You did not mention the score of your daughter in JEE (Mains)-I, state you belong, hence it would be difficult to suggest the name of a reputed Pvt college. Yet I assume you might belong to either Delhi or a nearby state. SGT University is a reputed university and if they are offering you a mechanical seat, you can book it if you are satisfied from all angles. However, I would like to recommend waiting for the JEE (Main)-II results and the state-level engineering entrance test result before making the proper decision to be admitted to a particular branch. The pvt colleges are ready to fill their seats under any conditions. Hence SGT has offered you a seat at this stage also. Wait till all the results are out.
If satisfied with the reply, pl like and follow me, else ask again.
Thanks
Radheshyam

Sir we are from haryana and she got 62% in mains 1. Can you tell for mechanical engineering between BMU and SGT
Ans: Welcome back.
Prefer SGT over BMU.
But, as a female, why your daughter is interested in Mechanical Engineering? If would be better to opt for either Civil, CSE, Electrical, IT, or some equivalent branch. It is difficult for women to work in the mechanical field. Considering long-term goals, avoid this branch as far as possible. This is my suggestion. Rest you can decide on the best options.
Thanks

Hello Sir, My daughter scored 97.4 in JEE mains with rank 39700. She is interested in doing Mechanical Engineering. Her VITEEE rank was 35K and we have taken provisional admission in VIT mechanical engg in round 2. Can you pls advice which colleges are best options for her admissions. Also if you could list the best colleges for mechanical engineering, it will help .... thank you, Vivek
Ans: For Mechanical Engineering, your daughter’s best private college options—excluding government institutes and MIT Karnataka—span both South and North India. In the South, VIT Vellore stands out for its national reputation, modern labs, and excellent placements. SRM IST Chennai, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Coimbatore, PSG College of Technology Coimbatore, SASTRA University Thanjavur, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology Chennai, Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) Bangalore, and RV College of Engineering Bangalore are all highly regarded for mechanical, offering strong academics, infrastructure, and placement records. In North and Central India, BITS Pilani leads for academic rigor and placements, followed by Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology Patiala, Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, Amity University Noida, Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology Greater Noida, Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) Bhubaneswar, and Siksha 'O' Anusandhan (SOA) University Bhubaneswar. These colleges consistently feature in top private engineering rankings and offer robust industry connections, modern facilities, and good campus life. Your daughter’s VITEEE and JEE Main ranks make her eligible for most of these, especially through management or counseling quotas. VIT Vellore, BITS Pilani, SRM, Amrita, PSG, and Thapar are particularly recommended for their placement records, academic excellence, and alumni network. Finalize based on location preference, campus environment, and branch-specific placement statistics to ensure the best fit for her career aspirations. All the best for your daughter's admission and a bright future!
