Sir My daughter got admission in PES ECE and may get the EEE in RVCE based on her comedk ranking. Which one would be a better option to choose?

Ans: Prefer RVCE-EEE. However, she should start upgrading her skills (with Certifications) from 1st year itself till his 4th year - Campus Recruitment Drive. (3) She should seek her Faculties' Advice to upgrade her skills. (4) Besides, she also should also have a Professional LinkedIn Profile from 1st Year itself and put Job Alerts (not to apply) for Core / Non-Core / IT to know the JD of each company to know about the Job Market Trends & upgrade her skills accordingly. (5) She should also keep updating his LinkedIn Profile every 3-5 months with keywords related to his domain / certifications. (6) Please also note, the fees of PES might be higher than RVCE. Please check this aspect also. All the BEST for your Daughter's Bright Future.

Thanks a lot for your response sir, this is very helpful. How will you rate the BMS ECE. So if we she has to choose between RVCE EEE, PES ECE and BMS ECE. What are the chance of branch migration, if she decides to go for RVCE EEE to get ECE?
Ans: If she gets BMS-ECE, go for it first. As far as Branch Migration is concerned, depends upon how many students have requested for ECE / from it & also her academic performance in 1st her Semester.

Hi Sir Thank you in advance for answering this. My daughter got 1204 ranking in KCET. She wants to pursue ECE. Should we prefer PES(ring road) Or BMSCE? ECE in RVCE is slightly doubtful. Kindly help.. Thanks once again!
Ans: PES University’s Ring Road campus offers a four-year NBA-accredited B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering under NAAC A+ status with a modern curriculum spanning VLSI, signal processing, embedded systems and IoT, delivered through specialized ECE labs fitted with FPGA boards, DSP kits and wireless communication setups. PhD-qualified faculty collaborate on industry-sponsored projects, and the Training & Placement Cell reports approximately 85% of ECE students placed in recent years with recruiters such as Qualcomm, Intel and Texas Instruments. BMS College of Engineering, established in 1946 and NBA-accredited with NAAC A++ standing, features advanced VLSI, communication and robotics labs, sustained MoUs (Volvo, Altimetrik) driving innovation clusters, and a dedicated Career Development Centre. Recent ECE cohorts achieved 80–85% placement consistency with over 350 companies visiting annually, including Cisco, NXP and Infosys.

Recommendation: For a female student prioritizing high placement consistency, deeper ECE-focused research initiatives and a slightly higher median package, BMSCE is the superior choice; choose PES Ring Road if you prefer a strong private-university ecosystem, broader interdisciplinary exposure and moderately lower fees. All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Dear Sir, My son rank is 41000 in jee mains and DA-IICT has launched two BS - MS Dual program in IT and second in AI and Data science. What are chances to get this course ? What is the scope of this course? In can see now in job portals trend is changing and companies only ask for Bachelors/Master degree and need to focus on skills. Is it a good option?
Ans: Sachin Sir, At a CRL rank of 41,000, securing a seat in DA-IICT’s regular B.Tech programs is unlikely, as recent closing ranks for ICT, MnC, and VLSI are much higher. However, the institute’s newly launched 5-year BS–MS Dual Degree programs in IT and Data Science & AI offer a more realistic alternative. These programs admit students based on JEE Main Mathematics percentile or CUET scores, not overall CRL, and since 2026 is their first admission cycle, competition may be less intense.

This 5-year, 200-credit curriculum is ideal if your son is passionate about coding, AI, data science, cybersecurity, or research-oriented tech careers—provided the fee structure and longer commitment are manageable. It’s also wise to keep several reliable backup options rather than relying solely on DA-IICT.

Ultimately, success depends less on the degree and more on how your son invests his time: honing technical and communication skills, building a professional profile through projects/internships, networking with alumni and industry experts, maintaining visibility on platforms like LinkedIn, and developing emotional intelligence to confidently navigate his career path. All the BEST for Your Son's Prosperous Future!
