My daughter got 98.19 percentile in MHT CET 2025. Is there any chance to get CS/ IT/CS with specialization in Cummins Pune, PICT Pune, SPIT Mumbai? If so what should be the order of preference? She is in general category.

Ans: Soumya Madam, With a 98.19 percentile in MHT-CET 2025 (General category), she narrowly misses the typical Round 1 cutoffs for CS at SPIT Mumbai (99.0–99.4) and PICT Pune (98.5–99.2), but stands a reasonable chance in later CAP rounds, while Cummins Pune’s CS/IT closing percentiles (96.5–98.0) fall within her range, making admission to Cummins highly likely provided seats remain in Open category rounds . SPIT Mumbai’s CS seats open around 99.0 in initial rounds but may drop closer to 98.5 in Round 3, offering slim hope for her percentile. PICT Pune’s CS cutoff could ease to 98.2–98.3 by Round 3 . Cummins Pune IT/CS is safest at her percentile, PICT Pune CS next, and SPIT Mumbai CS last, given historical trends. Placement consistency over the last three years is strong: Cummins records ~98% placements, PICT ~82%, and SPIT ~95% for CSE/IT.

The recommendation is to prioritize choices as Cummins Pune CS/IT, then PICT Pune CS, and finally SPIT Mumbai CS during CAP counselling to maximize admission probability and maintain excellent placement prospects. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
