which is better nmims mumbai or nmims shirpur
Ans: NMIMS Mumbai, accredited NAAC A++ with a 3.67 CGPA, is the flagship campus and consistently ranks among India’s top universities for engineering, management, and technology. It boasts a legacy of 44 years, 1,348+ corporate partners, and a 99% placement rate in recent years, with over 223 recruiters and strong alumni and industry networks. The Mumbai campus offers a diverse, research-driven curriculum, advanced labs, and a vibrant student life, ensuring high employability and global exposure. NMIMS Shirpur, while sharing the same academic structure and benefiting from industry tie-ups and Centers of Excellence, is a newer, smaller campus with a picturesque setting and modern infrastructure. Shirpur’s BTech placements in 2024 saw a highest package of ?22.24 LPA, average of ?9.91 LPA, and a median of ?8.5 LPA, but placement rates for CSE and IT were lower (56.9% and 45.7% respectively), and most jobs were in mid-tier companies. Student ratings favor Mumbai (4.4/5) over Shirpur (4.0/5), reflecting stronger peer group, recruiter diversity, and campus brand.

Recommendation: Choose NMIMS Mumbai for its superior placement rates (99%), stronger corporate and alumni networks, higher student satisfaction, and broader recruiter base, which translate to better career prospects and industry exposure. NMIMS Shirpur is a good alternative for smaller batches and modern facilities, but Mumbai delivers a clear advantage in placements, reputation, and long-term opportunities. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hello Sir/Ma'am My daughter has secured 4150 AIR and 602 Obc Rank What options does she have? She can get tier 3 NLUs, can she get any tier 2 in vacant seats? RMLNLU( she has UP Domicile) ? She can also get DU BA/BBA LLB, should she go there over tier 3 NLUs? Also she is considering taking an edu loan, is it viable for the college options she has?
Ans: Hi Neha Madam,

You have made multiple queries regarding admission opportunities. I am pleased to inform you that she has excellent prospects with an OBC rank of 602 and UP domicile for several top-tier and mid-tier National Law Universities (NLUs) through CLAT.

At RMLNLU Lucknow (Tier 2), there are high chances of securing a seat. Additionally, there are also opportunities available at other Tier 2 universities such as Bhopal, Gandhinagar, and Raipur.

In Tier 2 itself, the chances are promising, so naturally, there are very good opportunities in Tier 3 as well, including universities in Assam, Nagpur, and Shimla.

Regarding Delhi University (DU), both the BA LLB and BBA LLB programs are competitive but possible. However, since she has a good chance of getting into a Tier 2 university, it may be advisable to pursue that option rather than competing for a spot at DU. If she is truly interested in DU, she may apply, but Tier 2 options are more favorable.

Once she joins a university, she can apply for scholarships. Being a meritorious student, she is likely to receive support for an education loan. There's no need to worry; the education loan can be applied for through the Vidyalakshmi portal. Visit the website and register to get support from the bank.

BEST WISHES.

Hello sir, I have been following your suggestion quite on this platform, please suggest! My daughter secured 72 percentile in jee main 2026. Her rank is in in 4 lakhs. Secured 180 marks in bitsat 1. What should she further do. Which counselling she should register? She wants to pursue btech in cse or in ai ml. What best university is for her at the moment and best field for her, she has had pcmb with cs in class 12
Ans: Sarita Madam, I noticed you haven’t mentioned your daughter’s home state. Please note that BITS requires a minimum of 250 marks even for its MSc programs and above 300 marks for BE programs. Also, all branches are good; initially, she should choose a branch based on her interest or passion. However, she should remain adaptable as her preferences or job market trends may change by the 2nd or 3rd year. Regarding your daughter’s score, admission to NITs, IIITs, or top-tier GFTIs is unlikely. For general-category female candidates, even CSE-lite branches in newer IIITs usually require ranks under approximately 1.5 to 2.5 lakh. Still, it is advisable to register for JoSAA and CSAB-SPOT for possible core-branch or self-finance options in lesser-known GFTIs. Additionally, state counseling is important for government-aided colleges.

As a backup, consider reputed private engineering colleges in and around your state rather than relying solely on JoSAA or CSAB. All the BEST for Your Daughter's Prosperous Future!
