can i have a good scope and high package after Msc IT

Ans: Yes Vasunthra, you can have.

Here are some of the important steps/strategies you should follow & factors to keep in mind before joining / while pursuing / after completing your MSc IT:

Before Joining Your MSc IT:

1) List out around 10 top colleges for MSc IT with your location preference.
2) Check their Rankings / Accreditations / Grades.
3) Visit the websites of each University / College & Check their reviews in Google.
4) Know about Infrastructure / Internships Offered / Campus Placements during the last 5-years.
5) Know the Admission Process / Eligibility Criteria
6) Prepare well-in-advance for entrance exams/interviews/group discussions, which is/are applicable.
7) Shortlist 3 out of 10-top colleges and choose the best & most suitable for you to join.

While Pursuing MSc IT:

1) Make sure, you continue to maintain a decent Score / CGPA / Percentage till you complete your PG.
2) Join 2-3 Co-curricular Activities Club (related to your Domain) & extra-curricular activities.
3) Create a LinkedIn Profile, if already you do not have one.
4) If you already have a LinkedIn Account, fine-tune it with keywords/achievements/qualifications/certifications etc.
5) Connect to professionals of the same domain, but do not ask for jobs. If your profile matches their requirements, they will definitely be in touch with you.
6) Every 3 months, you should keep updating your LinkedIn Profile for recent achievements etc.
7) Start researching the companies that visited the College during the last 3 years for campus recruitments through their websites & know their nature of business/manpower requirements in the ‘Career’ Section.
8) Most important: You should start doing Certification Courses either online / offline, related to your domain to be competent in job market.
9) Put Job-Alert Notifications on LinkedIn, related to your domain, to know about the current job market scenarios/employers’ expectations.
10) Keep upskilling your domain till you complete your PG in MSc IT.

After Completing MSc IT:

1) Just before completing your MSc IT, prepare well for the Campus Interview Test / Interview / Group Discussion, whichever will be applicable.
2) Start applying for jobs through LinkedIn Job Alerts, if the Job Description posted by the employers/recruiters / companies, matches your profile.
3) Keep ready your ‘RESUME’ professionally prepared. Make sure your ‘Resume’ is simple & brief with keywords with your LinkedIn Account’s clickable link.
4) And, keep upgrading your skills to be competitive in job market always.
