My son has got seat in DTU but aiming for BITS where he secured 290 marks in second session, with which he will not get CSE in BITS campus. So kindly suggest, which one is better CSE in Delhi Technological University or Electrical/ Electronics in BITS Pilani or Hyderabad campus?

Ans: DTU’s BTech CSE achieves consistent placement percentages of 88–93% over the last three years, with an average package of ?15.45 LPA in 2024, and over 350 recruiters—including Salesforce, Samsung, Deloitte, and Adobe—participating in its drives. BITS Pilani’s Electrical & Electronics Engineering records placement rates of 95–98% for its 90-seat first-degree batch, with an average package of ?19.71 LPA and top recruiters such as Intel, Qualcomm, Broadcom, SanDisk, Nvidia, and Cisco. Ans: Chances with top NITs/IIITs are almost nil. You have a realistic chance at lower/newer NITs (branches like Civil, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production, Biotechnology, Chemical) and some lower-demand IIITs in later JoSAA/CSAB rounds.

Ans: Chances with top NITs/IIITs are almost nil. Try with lower-demand branches like Civil, Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, Chemical, and Biotechnology in lower NITs/IIITs. Your exact chances depend much more on your SC rank than on AIR.

Good afternoon sir, I am a male general candidate and have secured a rank of 40,117 OS (97.46%ile). I am genuinely very confused and scared because I can't get (for BTech) CSE core, CSE specialisation or ECE at any good and reputable colleges (as far as I have researched). What good colleges do I have for the above mentioned branches?

Ans: Try CSE / CSE Specialization / ECE with newer IIITs and lower/mid NIT circuit branches. For example, IIIT Kottayam / Dharwad / Kalyani / Bhagalpur / Ranchi / Agartala / Dharwad for CSE/IT-related branches with homestate and female quota.

Ans: Top NITs/IIITs are not possible. Try with lower NITs/IIITs or less-demand branches (civil, mechanical, biotech)

Ans: Yes, if you are a female candidate, IGDTUW has a good chance for “any branch” under the Delhi general quota. JAC Delhi 2025 Round-1 Delhi General closing ranks were around CSE 43,914, IT 55,952, ECE 69,167, MAE 80,688, and DMAM 82,511, so at CRL 1,83,797, top branches are difficult in normal rounds. But official JAC Delhi publishes round-wise cutoffs, and later/spot rounds can go lower depending on vacancies. For JoSAA NIT/IIIT/GFTI CSE/ECE/Electrical, chances are very low at this CRL for the general category. Strategy: fill IGDTUW all branches, DTU/NSUT lower branches if allowed, JAC spot round, IPU counselling, IIITD unlikely, and backups like MAIT, MSIT, BPIT, USAR, JIIT, AKTU and reputed private colleges. Ans: Santosh, with your score, your chances for CSE, ECE, or Electrical in NITs and IIITs are very low. More realistic options are lower branches like Civil, Mechanical, or Metallurgy in newer or lower?ranked NITs and GFTIs through JoSAA/CSAB. You may also get non?core branches in some IIITs in later rounds. Fill all choices, including lower NITs and GFTIs, and focus strongly on CSAB special rounds. Also keep backup options through your state counselling (UP), AKTU?affiliated colleges, and good private engineering colleges. All the BEST for Your Prosperous Future!
