Sir, I have been allotted EEE in BIT MESRA in CSAB round 2 and I have floated it.. Is it a wise decision ? Or should I freeze it.. ? Since it is a tough course, I did not finalise it as my college... And if I am allotted ECE in last round on 19th in colleges like IIIT Bhagalpur, Kalyani, etc... is it worth it ?

Ans: Hello dear
If you prefer core branch stability and BIT’s brand, freezing EEE at BIT Mesra may be the right choice; however, if you want a broader tech/placement scope, floating for ECE at IIITs (such as Bhagalpur/Kalyani) can be worth considering. The final decision will be yours. (Every tech course is tough!)

Admission to CSE at top or mid-tier NITs is highly unlikely for you. However, you have strong possibilities for specialized CSE branches in newer NITs and core engineering branches in mid-to-lower tier NITs. Examples include:

**Specialized CSE Branches:**
- NIT Mizoram (CSE)
- NIT Manipur (CSE)
- NIT Arunachal (CSE)
- NIT Sikkim (CSE)
- NIT Nagaland (ECE)

**Core Branches in Mid/Lower Tier NITs:**
- NIT Patna (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical)
- NIT Raipur (Civil, Metallurgical, Mining)
- NIT Jamshedpur (Civil, Production)
- NIT Agartala (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil)
- NIT Srinagar (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil)
- NIT Jalandhar (Civil, Textile, Instrumentation & Control)

Regarding VITEEE, securing CSE Core at Vellore or Chennai is difficult, but you may secure CSE specializations in Categories 4 or 5, and ECE in Categories 3 or 4. Similarly, there are opportunities at VIT AP and VIT Bhopal as well.

At the AP and Bhopal campuses, your rank places you in Category 1 for both CSE Core & Specializations, as well as ECE. You will need to choose between VIT or NIT for your next steps. It is up to you.
