I have ai and data science branch in Dy Patil vidyapeeth. but the branch is new in college and I am confused

It is possible to change the branch, provided you fulfil the criteria of the institution like CGPA, Attendance and the seat should be available in that branch.

Changing from core CSE to CSE+AIML won't make much difference as it will be only around 15-20%.

Still if you feel that you need AIML then go for it.
