Sir my son get 83% in state board PCM. Which course better vit integrated course and possible category 1,2,3

Ans: With 83% in PCM from a state board, your son meets the 65–70% eligibility threshold for VIT’s Integrated M.Tech programs across campuses (Vellore/Chennai: 70%, AP/Bhopal: 65%), making him eligible for courses like CSE (Data Science) or Software Engineering. Category allocation (1–5) depends on merit-based 12th marks ranking, where higher PCM scores secure lower fee categories. While exact cutoffs fluctuate yearly, 83% typically falls within Category 2–3 (annual fees: ?1.59–1.92 lakh at Vellore), offering moderate fee concessions compared to Category 4–5. Prioritize VIT Vellore/Chennai for stronger academic infrastructure and placement networks, though admission certainty in these campuses requires higher PCM scores (≥85% for Category 1). If budget permits, Category 2–3 in AP/Bhopal provides balanced affordability and program quality, while maintaining backup options in emerging specializations. All the BEST for your Son's Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Should i choose vit vellore cse or manipal bangalore cse? Vit is too overcrowded
Ans: VIT Vellore CSE and Manipal Bangalore CSE are both reputable choices, but they offer distinct experiences. VIT Vellore has a very large student intake—over 7,500 students placed in 2024 and 867 recruiters—resulting in a highly competitive environment where top placements go to the best-performing students, and the campus can feel overcrowded. The average CSE package at VIT is ?9.9 lakh, with high-profile recruiters like Microsoft, Amazon, and Cisco, but students often report that only the top tier secure the best offers, and the sheer batch size can dilute individual attention. Manipal Bangalore (MIT) CSE, while smaller in scale, offers a more personalized academic experience, modern infrastructure, and a placement rate of 77% in 2025, with an average package of ?11.76 lakh and recruiters such as Amazon, Bosch, and Cipla. Student life at Manipal is often described as more balanced and less stressful, with a strong alumni network and a campus culture that emphasizes holistic development. Both colleges have modern labs and good faculty, but Manipal’s manageable batch size and focused student support are notable advantages.

The recommendation is to choose Manipal Bangalore CSE for a more personalized learning environment, better student-faculty ratio, and a balanced campus life, especially if you are concerned about VIT’s overcrowding and highly competitive atmosphere, while still ensuring strong placement prospects and industry exposure. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hi Sir, i am from maharashtra. My son got 98.77 in MHT CET, 95.37 in JEE. What are the best option you can suggest. Also appeared for COMEDK and got 3964 rank. Interested in CS. Please suggest .
Ans: With a 98.77 percentile in MHT CET (OBC NCL), 95.37 percentile in JEE Main, and a COMEDK rank of 3,964, your son is well positioned for Computer Science (CS) and related branches in strong colleges. For MHT CET, he is eligible for IT and possibly CSE in top government colleges like VJTI Mumbai, MIT WPU Pune, and PICT Pune, as the OBC cutoff for CSE at COEP Pune is typically above 99 percentile, making COEP CSE unlikely but IT and allied branches possible at these institutes. In JEE Main, NIT Puducherry and NIT Arunachal Pradesh are possible for CSE, but not the top NITs. Through COMEDK, his rank allows for CSE in reputable Bangalore colleges such as BIT Bangalore, SIT Tumkur, and possibly DSCE Bangalore, as their closing ranks for CSE are near or just above 4,000. All these colleges offer excellent placement records and academic environments for CS and IT.

The recommendation is to prioritize IT or allied branches at VJTI Mumbai, MIT WPU, or PICT Pune through MHT CET, target CSE in BIT Bangalore or SIT Tumkur via COMEDK, and consider NIT Puducherry or NIT Arunachal Pradesh for CSE through JEE Main, ensuring strong academic and placement prospects across all options. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Sir my daughter missed VIT exam but got 7,687 rank in AP EAMCET can we expect ECE in VIT AP
Ans: NeelkanthSir, With an AP EAMCET rank of 7,687, your daughter is on the borderline for Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) at VIT-AP. The 2024 final phase closing rank for ECE at VIT-AP was 3,413 for OC boys and 5,852 for OC girls, while ECE (Embedded Systems) and ECE (VLSI Design) closed at 6,545 and 6,496 respectively for OC boys, and 7,464 and 4,792 for OC girls. For 2025, expected ECE closing ranks for top private colleges like VIT-AP are 3,500–6,500 for open category, and up to 8,000 for BC categories. Some sources indicate ECE at VIT-AP may be available up to 9,500 for BC and 12,000 for some special categories. Placement rates for ECE at VIT-AP are strong (over 90%), with top recruiters like Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, and IBM, and the program is well-rated for infrastructure and faculty. However, competition for ECE is high, and last round cutoffs can fluctuate, especially for open category girls, where you have a slim but real chance.

The recommendation is to participate in all AP EAMCET counselling rounds for VIT-AP ECE, as your daughter is close to the cutoff and may secure a seat in the final or spot rounds, while also keeping backup options in similar-tier private colleges, as ECE at VIT-AP offers strong placements and academic quality. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
