I am 12th pass student with PCB. I just tried for NEET after completion of 12th exam. As I got only one month of preparation for NEET still i qualify but could make upto mark to get govt seat. Now I wish to take partial drop and want to join any college in biotechnology or zoology or botany. I am not good in Chemistry and physics. But still I want to choose the subject which will help me in preparing NEET 2026.

Ans: You have chosen the wrong course after 12th grade if you are not strong in the subject. Please share your 12th-grade marks. If you want to take a drop to prepare for NEET or pursue a degree, I'm not certain. However, if you decide to take a gap year, focus on preparing for NEET instead of selecting an undergraduate course. If you feel pressured by your parents to pursue a degree, then select Chemistry or Physics as your major with either Physics or Chemistry as an ancillary subject. This will help you in completing NEET.

I am good in biology and secure 95 in 12th. I got 72, in physics and 70 in chemistry. Now I want to go for Neet in 2026 but simultaneously want to persue some other course in the meantime which will help me in Neet. Shall I go for Bsc biotech, zoology or biology

Ans: You have received above-average marks in Chemistry and Physics. Since you are very strong in Biology, you might consider not selecting Biology as your major. Instead, you can opt for Chemistry or Physics as your major, and choose Physics or Chemistry as your ancillary subject. However, pursuing an undergraduate degree while preparing for the NEET exam can be a bit risky, as you may not have enough time to practice. Ultimately, the decision is yours.

Ans: HI GURTAYAN,
To be eligible for NEET, you must have taken Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) and not just Physics and Biology. Not only do you need to meet the eligibility criteria, but you also need to be prepared to answer the questions that will be asked in NEET. This could be challenging since you've missed out on the science stream. Ultimately, you are the best judge of your situation, and the decision is yours.

He said ,I take decision and make it right. Higher studies , Research, Ph.D for teaching are other options . Yes UPSC or other Govt jobs are not bad either.

Hello sir, My daughter got 97.48 percentile in JEE MAINS 2026, and a rank of 39920. She is Delhi based with general category. What are the best options with her for CSE. Are government colleges better than private colleges. Does she have a chance in government colleges in Delhi.

Ans: Dear There are many things in your daughter's favour .. Her rank, percentage of marks and her choice trade CSE as most girls are opting . Whether govt or pvt college, it's not easy to say however NITs are better in terms of fees , campus drives etc .

The future of Engg is expanding to computer related technologies whether AI , ML, IOT ,Robotics or Mechatronics. Similarly Renewal energy, astroscience ,Data science are other options for Engg students.

Ans: Dear , CSE trade is in demand especially for girls. Since ranking is good there are chances she may get CSE in adjoining colleges if not exactly Delhi. As hostel staying is only way out, getting colleges around Delhi shouldn't be any issues.

Ans: Dear It's very difficult to predict however the counselling sessions before admission can give you business Idea about the nearby colleges . Pl note the large number of students scoring 90% and above many a times ,make things difficult to choose desired college .

Ans: Dear , The Only thing which goes in your daughter's favour is the reservation being SC. Since it's not clear from which state or city you are coming still you can use common admission process or JaSS and wait . If not ,i would suggest her to prepare hard and reattempt JEE.
