This year in 2026, my son got 97.5%tile in JEE Main, does he have any scope in electronics in any good NIT or IIITs
Ans: Niladri Madam, had you mentioned his rank, it would have been much easier to answer. Anyway, you can try mid-tier NITs/IIITs/GFTIs for the ECE branch. Please carefully review last year’s JoSAA Opening and Closing Rank data for your son's preferred institutes and branches. This will help you better understand admission trends, assess realistic possibilities, and confidently fill your choice list with a balanced mix of dream, realistic, and safe options.

Ans: You did not mention the category. Chances are slim, but if category matches, lower IIT with lower branches may be possible. But do not rely solely. Keep a backup option ready.
