Hello Sir, My son got 98.83 percentile in JEE Mains and 14k in Advance. Gen Category, Karnataka Home State. Class 12 CBSE mark 94 %. KCET score 154. BITSAT score 230. He got in VIT Vellore cat 2 CS (AI&DE) though not much interested. He is more interested in ECE or M&C. Kindly tell his chances for NITs/IIITs. How about DAIICT/ BITS Hyd Dual DegreeRegards!
Ans: The best targets are NIT Surathkal/Warangal/Calicut ECE, IIIT Allahabad ECE, and M&C in some NITs/IIITs; DAIICT ICT is an excellent option, while BITS Hyderabad Dual Degree is worthwhile only if he is comfortable with the dual-degree uncertainty and an extra year. If the mentioned options do not work, go with CS @ VIT-V. The recommended order: NIT Surathkal ECE/M&C > IIIT Allahabad ECE > NIT Warangal/Calicut ECE > DAIICT ICT > Top KCET options (RVCE/BMSCE/MSRIT ECE) > BITS Hyderabad Dual Degree > VIT Vellore CSE (AI&DE) Category 2.
