Sir, i am from kolkata, my son secured 93.5% in jee mains and 91% in cbse class 12( board exam), he got cse in VIT ( AP), he had enrolled his name for csab, is there any chances of getting ECE, mechanical for csab in NIIT, IIIT, GFTI??? Please let me know...
Ans: A JEE Main percentile of 93.5 (approximately a CRL over 140,000) places your son well above the closing ranks for ECE and Mechanical across virtually all NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs in CSAB rounds; past opening–closing data show ECE seats in NITs filling by CRL 15,000–30,000 and Mechanical by CRL 25,000–50,000, while IIITs and GFTIs close even earlier. Consequently, admission through CSAB to these branches is highly improbable. Lower-tier GFTIs may have late-round vacancies, but these are inconsistent and competitive. His secured CSE seat at VIT-AP remains the most viable option for a quality CSE education, with guaranteed enrollment, dedicated campus resources, and strong placement support.
Recommendation: Proceed with the confirmed CSE seat at VIT-AP for assured technical education and placement prospects. Pursuing CSAB for ECE or Mechanical is unlikely to yield a seat; unless specialized mid-tier GFTI vacancies appear, securing VIT-AP CSE is the safest, most reliable path forward. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!
