josaa counselling does not allow candidates lower than 75% in boards, but still there are some gftis in their list whose official website says that they only require 60% in boards. so can we apply in those gftis through josaa without having 75% in boards.
Ans: Riya, JoSAA mandates 75% aggregate in Class XII (65% for SC/ST/PwD) for all participating institutes, including GFTIs, as per its centralized eligibility criteria. While some GFTIs may list lower cutoffs on their websites for non-JoSAA admissions, JoSAA’s 75% rule prevails for candidates seeking seats through its counselling. If your board marks fall below 75% (65% for reserved categories), you cannot apply via JoSAA, even if individual GFTIs have lower criteria for other admission routes. Some websites shows, that it's not required for obc-ncl candidates to have 75% in 12th boards to get a seat in josaa counselling but some say it's required. what's the correct information
