Ok thanks. There is lots of positive success stories on VIT in my network, as inam based out of Maharashtra. Kottayam is new and down south, so no first hand information. I am particularly looking at quality of faculty, ability of institution to amend course in coming time looking at genai progress, exposure to various clubs, quality of internship and finally placement at quality roles (avoiding mass recruiter). Any advice is appreciated? Thanks.
Ans: Distance is not the issue. Once you leave home, either VIT or IIIT's distance holds little significance. Choose the institute that will contribute to building students' future careers. Often, a brand name plays a role as well. Undoubtedly, the IIIT brand name has a slight edge over VIT. Both options are strong in terms of faculty, educational environment, and placement opportunities. Ultimately, the final choice is yours.
