Sir I have got 97.65 percentile in mhtcet, what government and best private engineering colleges can I get in either Pune, Mumbai and Maharashtra.
I also have secured a seat in CSE VIT Bhopal.
Should I stay in Pune only and opt for VIIT (Vishwakarma Institute) or go out for Bhopal seat.
Is there any chance for PICT(CSE or ECE), can admission through Management quota be done to PICT Pune.
If nothing else is there anything better that VIT Bhopal in Pune/Mumbai.
Ans: Mayuresh, In Maharashtra’s government stream, COEP Pune’s CSE cutoff closed at 99.85 percentile in CAP Round 3 while VJTI Mumbai’s was around 99.5–99.7, placing you outside eligibility at 97.65. PICT Pune’s Home State quota for CSE (99.58) and ECE (99.07) similarly exceeds your score, although its 20% institute-level management quota allows admission on payment of higher fees with only basic MHT CET qualification and no assured branch allotment. Among private Pune colleges MITAOE admits CSE at 96.18–95.14 and ECE at 93.16–92.56 percentile, while Cummins College for Women closes CSE at 96.5–98.0 and ECE around 98.0–98.3, both offering 77–92% placements over three years. VIIT Pune’s CSE cutoff of 97.42–98.3 makes it a marginal but possible option. Considering your VIT Bhopal CSE seat, Pune-based private institutes like MITAOE or Cummins combine strong placement density, lower fees and local convenience. Recommendation: favour MITAOE or Cummins CSE in Pune, list VIIT next, and forgo PICT management quota or relocation to VIT Bhopal. All the BEST for the Admission & a Prosperous Future!
