Your son will get a seat in the newly formed low-tiered IITs. Chances are less for EEE and ENTC. But, electrical is also an excellent branch and take it if it is offered to you. Not possible for us to name a particular IIT. Fill out the options carefully in the counseling process.

He should prioritize AI & ML branches at NIT Surathkal, NIT Rourkela, NIT Nagpur, and NIT Surat, and also consider CSE or Data Science as alternatives.
