Sir, As per your suggestion, it is understood that securing mechanical seat in nit / iiit is not possible, either vit Vellore. Hence, we decided to take a break/ drop and try best next year to get in iit/ nit. Even try to attend josaa. But decided to drop. Is it suggestable sir? Guide us.

I am unable to recall your question from June 1st, as it is not displayed on my dashboard. Taking a drop is not recommended at all. Since your previous questions are not linked to this current inquiry, I am unable to reply properly. On one hand, you say the question has not been answered, and on the other hand, you are writing as ........ as per your suggestion....
For proper suggestions, please rewrite your question. However, do not consider taking a drop year unless absolutely necessary. There is no guarantee that next year you will get into NIT or IIIT.

Hi sir, my son got 90.15 percentile in jee mains and 145000 in CRL and 48339 under OBC. he also got 106885 in viteee and 25400 rank in amrita AEEE. Yesterday jee adv attempt seems tougher to him. Now we intend to join mechanical, where we can get seat i e. NIT / IIIT. If not where which college i.e. vit or amrita to choose. As per VIT rank card we are intimated to select at AP or Bhopal campus. At amrita i think at Bangalore campuse . We are confused. Pls suggest
If it is vit Vellore campus we are lucky. We belonged to Andhra Pradesh as home state.
Ans: If you want the best brand and placement: Try for VIT AP or VIT Bhopal Mechanical Engineering campus seats, as Vellore is unlikely with your son's rank.
If you prefer a better chance at admission with good placements and can manage higher fees: Choose Amrita Bangalore Mechanical Engineering.
NIT/IIIT Mechanical is not feasible with current rank. Still it is advisable to participate in JoSAA Counselling Process by filling out maximum number of choices. Also please try for any other reputed colleges in AP with JEE Score. All the best for your son's admissions!
