My son is getting ECE in tier-1 NIT, but not getting CSE. Is ECE good to choose or he should choose CSE in tier-2 or tier-3 NITs. Please suggest whether choosing ECE in Tier-1 is better than choosing CSE in Tier-2 or 3?

If your son is more interested in CSE, then consider choosing it from either tier-2 or tier-3 NITs. There is very little difference between tier-1, tier-2, and tier-3 NITs. If a student is brilliant and has the potential to succeed, he can achieve success under any conditions. All NITs are good. Choosing an NIT is always better than selecting any IIIT or a reputed private college. NIT is a brand name, and that matters. Respect your son's choice for CSE and choose it from either tier-2 or tier-3. Best of luck to your son for his bright future.
