Hello sir, Need your advice for my Son(open Category )who secured Mains CRL :1250,Adv Rank :3200, BITSAT marks :275. He is primarily interested in CSE however open to consider lower branches at premier institutes. NITs in consideration for CSE: Thrichy, Suratkhal. IITs : Open until tier 2 - circuital branches or mechanical BITs : Open any location for circuital branches.

Here is the precedence order: (1) NIT Surathkal (2) NIT Trichy. (3) With 275 in BITSAT, what he is getting is not mentioned.
With an advanced rank of 3200, he has chances of getting into tier 2 IITs, so why you are considering NITs is unclear. As far as possible, drop the idea of Mechanical @ BITs. If CSE is the primary interesting branch, then go with either Surathkal or Trichy, whichever is nearer to your hometown.
