However, having a domicile in Uttar Pradesh opens up excellent backup options in top state engineering colleges through UPTAC, in addition to lower-tier IIITs and GFTIs.

**IIITs:**
You may be able to secure a seat in the following IIITs:
- IIIT Manipur: CSE
- IIIT Bhagalpur: Mechatronics/Electronics & Communication
- IIIT Dharwad: Core/Electronics branches
- IIIT Kalyani: CSE

**GFTIs:**
- Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar: CSE or ECE
- NIFFT, Ranchi: Manufacturing Engineering or Metallurgy
- JK Institute of Applied Physics and Technology (University of Allahabad): Electronics and Communication.

**UPTAC Counseling:**
Through UPTAC counseling, the following options are possible:
- HBTU, Kanpur: Chemical, Civil, or Paint Technology.
- Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) Affiliated Colleges: CSE or IT at top-rated state colleges like KIET Group of Institutions (Ghaziabad), GL Bajaj Institute of Technology & Management (Greater Noida), and Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College.
