VKS : Would like to invest Rs 10 Lacs for 5 years , suggest good yield stock

Ans: Instead of investing in a single stock, you can invest in a few equity funds thru STP. It will derisk your investment considerably by diversification. Managing your portfolio is also easy.

In the longrun, it is expected to deliver 12% CAGR.

Sir . I;m getting IIIT Kota and may get VIT vellore (data science) in category 4 . Which one should I consider ?
Ans: Based on comprehensive analysis of institutional credentials, placement trends, and academic focus, VIT Vellore’s Data Science programme is recommended over IIIT Kota for students prioritizing domain-specific education and industry-aligned opportunities. IIIT Kota, an institute of national importance with NAAC ‘A’ accreditation, offers 75–92% placement rates (2022–2024) in core CS/ECE roles but lacks dedicated Data Science infrastructure or specialized coursework, focusing instead on traditional IT domains. VIT Vellore, a deemed university (NAAC A++), provides a 100% placement rate (2024) for its Data Science programme, supported by advanced labs (Data Science, AI/ML), industry partnerships (Amazon, Google), and a curriculum integrating Python, big data analytics, and machine learning. While IIIT Kota’s lower fees (~?9.8L total) and PPP-model governance appeal to budget-conscious learners, VIT’s Category-4 fees (~?7.8L first year) are justified by superior campus facilities, global rankings (NIRF #11 Engineering), and structured internships. For students committed to Data Science careers, VIT’s specialized training and broader recruiter network outweigh IIIT Kota’s general CS/ECE focus, though the latter remains a strong option for core IT roles. My suggestion: Considering your academic goals and financial priorities, IIIT-Kota emerges as a strategic choice. The institute’s lower fee structure allows you to allocate resources toward targeted skill development (e.g., certifications in AI/ML, cloud computing, or data analytics) while maintaining a strong foundational education. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Sir I am from General category. Iat marks 142, wbjee marks 88, jee mains rank 94500, Advanced rank 24000 so not appearing in JOSAA, My personal preference is Maths/ Stats/MNC /DS/AI/ML. How will be IISER Kolkata Computational data science, IISER Bhopal B tech or RGIPT MNC. JU power , Chemical(from state quota) is also option. Also appearing for NISER. What should be preference for within India career opportunities
Ans: Parambrata, Based on your academic profile and career interests in mathematics, data science, and AI/ML, RGIPT’s Mathematics & Computing (MNC) emerges as the top recommendation due to its 65% placement rate (2023) and industry-aligned curriculum with strong data science components, followed by IISER Bhopal’s BTech program (12% placement rate in 2023) for its research-oriented computational training. IISER Kolkata’s Computational Data Science, while academically rigorous, has limited placements (6.5% in 2023), making it suitable primarily for research careers. Jadavpur University’s Chemical Engineering (90% placement rate) and Power Engineering (90% placement rate) offer stable core engineering opportunities but lack direct alignment with AI/ML domains. NISER’s focus on pure sciences may not cater to immediate industry demands in data science. Prioritize RGIPT MNC for balanced career prospects, IISER Bhopal for research foundations, and consider JU’s programs only if willing to bridge into tech roles via upskilling. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!

My son got the core CSE in kiit and MUJ .which college should I prefer. My current location in gurgaon.
Ans: Both KIIT Bhubaneswar and Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) are reputable private universities with strong Computer Science Engineering (CSE) programs, but they differ in certain aspects that may influence your decision. KIIT has a longer track record, higher national visibility (NIRF Engineering rank 42), and a well-established CSE department, reflected in consistently strong placement percentages—97% to 100% over the last three years—with over 700 recruiters and a wide alumni network, making it a reliable choice for career opportunities and industry exposure. MUJ, meanwhile, has rapidly gained prominence in North India, achieving a 98% placement rate in 2023 and attracting more than 289 recruiters, with a modern campus and robust infrastructure; its location in Jaipur is closer to Gurgaon, which may offer logistical and networking advantages, especially for internships or future job prospects in the NCR region. Both universities offer excellent infrastructure, active placement cells, and diverse industry tie-ups, but if you prioritize a well-established legacy, broader recruiter base, and slightly higher placement consistency, KIIT is preferable, whereas MUJ is a strong alternative if proximity, lower fees, or a North India network is more important for your family. All the BEST for your Son's Admission & a Prosperous Future!

Hi Sir Can I get a government college with 81.2 percentile in JEE Mains in punjab haryana delhi
Ans: Viksit, With an 81.2 percentile in JEE Mains, your All India Rank is likely around 2,85,000, which makes it challenging to secure a seat in top government engineering colleges in Punjab, Haryana, or Delhi, especially for popular branches like Computer Science. For Punjab, NIT Jalandhar’s closing ranks for core branches are typically much lower than your rank, and state government colleges like Thapar Institute and Punjab Engineering College (PEC) Chandigarh also require higher percentiles, with PEC’s cutoffs for general category ranging from 16,285 to 88,686, well above your range. In Haryana and Delhi, government institutes such as DTU, NSUT, and IGDTUW have even more competitive cutoffs, making admission unlikely at your percentile. However, you may have a chance in lower-demand branches or through state quota in some GFTIs or newer NITs (e.g., NIT Sikkim, NIT Agartala) for non-core streams. As backup options, consider reputable private universities like LPU, KIIT, or state-level colleges with their own entrance processes, which accept students in the 80–90 percentile range and offer decent placements and academic environments. It is recommended to participate in state counseling rounds and keep private institutes as alternatives for a wider range of choices. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!
