Doctor my friend is 46yrs old having Hep B+ for last 20yrs taking entalive 0.5mg regularly once at night his viral load is less tha detectable every year its monitired by blood test, sgot & sgpt also normal, is there any other treatment to get it cured or its non curing. Please advice.
Ans: I think he is on the right path. There is some risk of developing a relapse if the drugs are stopped too soon. The liver specialist is therefore continuing the treatment to prevent a relapse. As of now your friend seems to be doing well. Has his ultrasound been done, What is his HbeAg status
