Ans: There are some concerns about the long term use of sugar substitutes. Black tea is ideal. If that is not palatable then maybe addition of a bit of milk is okay . Try to avoid sugar and artificial sweeteners if possible

Recently applied for pension amount withdrawal Upon checking my last company has not updated the EPS JOIN & END dates in UAN, they have only updated EPF dates.now i shall receive only one company eps amount. How to get told one please suggest me

Ans: Take eps scheme certificates from your previous employer and submit it to epfo thru your current employer.

Always take eps scheme certificate from the employer whose services you have quit and furnish it to the new employer so that EPS contribution is intact and keeps growing through current employer contribution.

Try to obtain as many certificates (from NPTEL, Coursera, Internshala etc. and/or advised by his College Faculties) to get himself ready for Campus Placement or Off-Campus (2) To create a Professional LinkedIn Profile (if not already created) and maintain updating it; (3) To put job alerts in LinkedIn, related to his domain/certifications to know the job market trends and prepare himself for either campus placement or off-campus,. He should also attempt an internship—even if it is a paid one. Im around 30, working at a mnc earning around 60 k a month. My monthly expensiture is 25 k how much i should save for a happy retirement. Im a married women and current i dont have kids. There is no money to take from my husband side.

Ans: Hello;
You may invest 25K per month into NPS. It's an E-E-E type investment product.(Exempt)

Select active choice and allocate 75% to Equity, 15% to corporate bonds and 10% to Govt securities.

Select UTI as pension fund manager for Equity and HDFC for bonds & G-Secs. (Recommended based on past performance).

Assuming modest growth of 9% you may expect a corpus of 4.61 Cr at 60 years of age.(As per current rules 40% of the corpus should be utilised to buy annuity and 60% you can withdraw lumpsum and invest elsewhere)

This can generate fixed income more then enough to cover your expenses indexed to inflation.

PPF is another instrument for retirement planning but their is an investment limit(1.5 L per year) and returns are also lesser.

Mutual funds are another avenue which can yield superior returns for example if you invest 25 K per month in pure equity scheme for 30 years you may expect a corpus of 11 Cr but typically people utilise their mutual fund gains over 7-8 years for some other purpose. NPS has limited withdrawal allowed because it is meant for your retirement pension.

Hi Anil, I am 54. My investments are - 3 Cr in Real Estate (rented), 2.5 Cr in Bonds, 2 Cr in Equity, 2.5 Cr in Debt PMS Funds, 50 lakh in PF & 50 lakh liquid funds. Should I invest more in Equity to get higher retruns as I feel that my portfolio is conservative? This is also considering the fact that fantastic performance is given by the Equity market.

Ans: Hello;

Equity asset class gives fantastic returns over long-term is a proven fact.

However in short to medium term it is prone to wild fluctuations and high volatility which I feel is unsuitable for your age group.

However you may divert your direct equity holdings or do fresh investments into equity savings type mutual funds (which have low to moderate risk compared to highly risky pure equity funds) for 3 to 5 year horizon.

I had worked in a Company before UAN came into force in 2008. I have the previous PF Number and the Old Salary Slip which mentions PF deducted. The Organisation that I used to work with is no more and the Firm has been closed. How and where can I get my previous contribution added to my new PF UAN account? Please guide process wise further.

Ans: Step 1: The first step in EPF Account Transfer without your employer’s approval is to activate your UAN by visiting the EPFO portal and entering your personal and employment details.

Step 2: You also need to link your Aadhaar and PAN with your UAN to verify your identity and streamline the transfer process.

Step 3: Next, you need to fill out Form 13 (Revised) and submit it to your current employer. In the form, you need to provide details such as your UAN, previous employer’s details, and the amount to be transferred.

Step 4: EPFO will verify the details provided in Form 13 and initiate the transfer process without requiring approval from your previous employer.

Step 5: Once the EPFO completes the verification process, the funds from your previous EPF account will be transferred to your new EPF account.

Due to my parents old age they want to transfer the house in my name. Please advice what is the best suggestion whether they gift the property to me or should they register a joint will. My brother expired few years back and I am the only son left. I also own property brought by my own money so will owning two property lead to wealth tax. Please advice.

Ans: 01. Your parents may transfer the property in your favor, which shall be treated as a Gift from parents to their son.
02. Other way out is they execute a REGISTERED WILL, in your favor & you can get the property transferred in your favor, after them.
03. You may be having one or more properties at present, but this will not effect in the above transaction, in any way.

I am looking for some reliable platforms like Zerodha or Groww but not very confident about there future prospects so looking for some platform from established banks like ICICI or HDFC but which may let me invest in MFs of different AMCs. Ans: You don't need a demat account to buy mutual funds.

Coin by Zerodha is very popular platform apart from ET money, payTM money, Kuvera.

You may also use mycams, kfinkart apps or MFUonline, MFcentral websites for your MF investments.
