What will be pros and cons of choosing NIT ROURKELA Electronics and Instrumentation over NIT SURATKAL EEE

Ans: Asmit, NIT Rourkela’s Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE) offers an industry-relevant curriculum, excellent research facilities, and a notably high average placement package, making it attractive for those interested in both core and IT roles. However, core instrumentation job opportunities may be fewer compared to IT/software roles, and EIE is less recognized than EEE in some sectors. NIT Surathkal’s Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) stands out for its top-tier national reputation, strong core and IT placements, and broad career prospects in electrical, electronics, and automation industries. The alumni network and location near industrial hubs further enhance opportunities. While the average package may be slightly lower than Rourkela’s EIE, EEE’s versatility and recognition often translate to stable long-term prospects. Choose NIT Rourkela EIE if you prioritize higher average packages and a niche field; opt for NIT Surathkal EEE for broader recognition, strong core opportunities, and long-term flexibility. All the best for your admission and a bright future!

Career
Which should we prefer- DTU CSE or EE at NIT SURATHKAL. Please suggest
Ans: Rekha, IIIT Gwalior’s B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at the AICTE-approved, NAAC-A accredited institute, boasts an average package of ?22.11 LPA and a highest package of ?67.5 LPA in 2024 placements, underpinned by Ph.D.-qualified faculty, specialized labs for AI, cybersecurity, and machine vision, and a 160-acre residential campus with robust student support systems including technical clubs and career-development cells. COEP Pune’s B.Tech CSE under its NAAC A+ accreditation offers an average UG package of ?11.35 LPA, a highest package of ?50.5 LPA in 2023, and an 87% placement rate for CSE graduates, supported by distinguished faculty, state-of-the-art VLSI and software labs, active hackathons, and a dedicated Training and Placement Cell within its historic 36-acre campus. Both institutions ensure accredited curricula, strong research infrastructure, consistent placement outcomes, and comprehensive student mentorship, yet they differ in placement metrics, research intensity, and campus environment.

Recommendation: For higher placement metrics and a research-intensive environment with cutting-edge labs, IIIT Gwalior CSE is preferable, whereas COEP Pune CSE offers a well-established public-university setting with strong industry ties, broader multidisciplinary exposure, and an A+ NAAC grade, making it ideal if varied engineering campus culture and established alumni networks are priorities. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Dating, Relationships Expert - Answered on Dec 04, 2025

Asked by Anonymous - Dec 02, 2025Hindi
Relationship
My married ex still texts me for comfort. Because of him, I am unable to move on. He makes me feel guilty by saying he got married out of family pressure. His dad is a cardiac patient and mom is being treated for cancer. He comforts me by saying he will get separated soon and we will get married because he only loves me. We have been in a relationship for 14 years and despite everything we tried, his parents refused to accept me, so he chose to get married to someone who understands our situation. I don't know when he will separate from his wife. She knows about us too but she comes from a traditional family. She also confirmed there is no physical intimacy between them. I trust him, but is it worth losing my youth for him? Honestly, I am worried and very confused.
Ans: Dear Anonymous,
I understand how difficult it is to let go of a relationship you have built from scratch, but is it really how you want to continue? It really seems to be going nowhere. His parents are already in bad health and he married someone else for their happiness. Does it seem like he will be able to leave her? So many people’s happiness and lives depend on this one decision. I think it’s about time you and your BF have a clear conversation about the same. If he can’t give a proper timeline, please try to understand his situation. But also make sure he understands yours and maybe rethink this equation. It really isn’t healthy. You deserve a love you can have wholly, and not just in pieces, and in the shadows.

Hope this helps
