I got 96.36 percentile(Male) my domicile state is telangana.CRL is 57.2k and EWS rank is 8421. My preferred branch is mechanical which nits do i have chance for?
Ans: With a CRL of 57,200 and an EWS rank of 8,421, Mechanical Engineering admission is realistic in some NITs, but NIT Warangal Mechanical remains difficult even with Telangana home-state quota, though you can still try. Better chances are available at NIT Andhra Pradesh, NIT Raipur, NIT Patna, NIT Jalandhar, NIT Hamirpur, NIT Agartala, NIT Silchar, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Manipur, NIT Mizoram, and NIT Nagaland for Mechanical or allied branches. Newer and lower-ranked NITs often accept ranks beyond 70,000 depending on category and branch. It is important to fill choices broadly, prioritizing Mechanical, then Production/Manufacturing, followed by Civil, Chemical, and Metallurgy. Backup options include participating in CSAB special rounds, exploring Telangana state options through TS EAMCET, and considering private colleges like CBIT, VNR VJIET, Vasavi, GRIET, as well as SRM, VIT, and Manipal.
