Hi...I scored 89 percentage in 12th boards in cbse and scored 98 in both maths and chemistry.....As it can be seen my Focus was on boards only....still I managed to score 84 percentile in JEE mains....and I am getting Btech in CSE in derbassi campus of thapar or btech in robotics and AI in patiala campus of thapar.....but I believe that since I haven't given my 100 percent in JEE....and maths is my strongest subject i scored 97 percentile in JEE in maths....so should I take drop for giving atleast one chance to JEE so that I don't regret this decision in my whole life..... please guide

Ans: Gursimran, You have strong board marks and JEE Math percentile, with admission offers for CSE at Thapar Derabassi and Robotics & AI at Patiala. Derabassi campus is less developed, with poor placements, limited labs, and a weak coding culture, located in a polluted industrial area. It is mainly a satellite campus, with most students moving to Patiala later. Patiala campus, in contrast, offers better infrastructure, faculty, placements, and an active student environment. Robotics & AI is a growing, specialized field with good career prospects. If you are motivated and willing to dedicate a year to improve your JEE rank, dropping a year to aim for IITs or NITs is advisable to avoid future regret. However, if you prefer to start college now, joining Patiala for Robotics & AI is a better option than Derabassi CSE, balancing immediate quality education and career prospects. Ans: As stated the average package for NMIMS Bangalore is around 14 lpa. Actually it should be a little less than that. Can take it as around 12 to 13 lpa.

Hi I got nmims Mumbai course of bba in branding and advertising and the fees is 5.5 lakhs is it worth it or should I spend it on mba if i want to do cfa too

Ans: If you want to do CFA then Branding and Advertising would be a wrong area to chose. It would be better to do general BBA / BMS degree or courses like BFM, BAF, etc. You can spend the money on MBA later.

Is nmims BBA Mumbai worth it? Are placements there good? Or should I do BBA/BMS from normal college and try for MBA (which would be doing regardless)?

Ans: Doing BBA / BMS from some tier 1 institutes in Mumbai would be equivalent to doing BBA from NMIMS. There are better facilities in NMIMS but the fees also is higher. Placement opportunities in some good colleges like Xaviers, Podar, Jai Hind are definitely on par with NMIMS. Anyways he would have to do further education in which case doing BBA or BMS from any good college should be fine.

Ans: With an SC rank of 2100 in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT), it's unlikely to get admission to any of the older and more popular IISERs like Pune, Kolkata, or Mohali. However, there might be a slim chance in newer IISERs like Berhampur or Tirupati, especially in later rounds of counselling if vacancies remain.

Ans: With an overall IAT 2025 rank of 73,333, it's highly unlikely to get admission into any of the core IISERs (Pune, Kolkata, Mohali, Bhopal, Tirupati, Berhampur, and Thiruvananthapuram). These institutions typically have much lower cutoff ranks, often below 2,000 for the general category. While a rank of 73,333 is significantly lower than the expected cutoffs, it's still worth exploring options like the newer IISERs or other science programs with lower admission criteria.

Ans: With an overall IAT rank of 40000 and an EWS rank of 3500, it is highly unlikely to get admission into any of the IISERs through the IAT channel. The cutoffs for IISERs are generally much lower, especially for the EWS category.

Ans: With an IAT rank of 7300, getting into an IISER (Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research) is unlikely for the general category, particularly for the main BS-MS dual degree program. The competition for IISER admissions is very high, and closing ranks, especially for the general category, are typically much lower.
