Sir namaste Should I consider Polaris School of Technology for B tech cse as it is a new gen tech school Please discuss pros and cons also if I join this college and what should be my strategy after joining here Your words will be very valuable for me to pursue my education here

Ans: Polaris School of Technology, established in 2024, represents a bold venture by Classplus founders Mukul Rustagi and Bhaswat Agarwal to revolutionize tech education through an industry-integrated BTech CSE program. Located in Bangalore's Electronic City and backed by prominent investors including Sourav Ganguly and Swiggy's founder, PST offers a unique curriculum featuring 5,000 hours of live coding, early internships from second year, and corporate campus experience with modern infrastructure including smart classrooms, labs, hostel facilities, and sports amenities. The college maintains strong industry partnerships with top recruiters like Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Meesho, and BlinkIt, offering internship stipends averaging INR 1.8 lakhs with highest reaching INR 2.5 lakhs, though comprehensive placement data remains unavailable due to its recent establishment. Student reviews highlight exceptional project-based learning where first-year students develop AI chatbots and fitness apps, participate in hackathons, and work with live clients, distinguishing them significantly from traditional engineering programs. Faculty comprises IIT alumni and industry leaders providing personalized mentorship, while innovative features include Polaris Tech Combinator offering up to $10,000 seed funding for student startups, exclusive tech talks from industry leaders, and specialized bootcamps. However, the total fee of INR 25 lakhs is substantial, and being a newly established institution carries inherent risks regarding long-term brand recognition and consistent placement outcomes compared to established engineering colleges. To maximize success at PST, students should leverage platforms like LeetCode, HackerRank, and Coursera for competitive programming, pursue Google Career Certificates and specialized certifications in AI/ML through edX and Udacity, participate actively in hackathons using resources like GeeksforGeeks, and build strong GitHub portfolios while engaging with the college's unique industry-integrated opportunities.

Recommendation:
PST offers exceptional industry integration and innovative learning, ideal for students seeking cutting-edge tech education. However, consider the premium fees and newness factor. Success strategy: leverage coding platforms, pursue industry certifications, and maximize hackathon participation. All the BEST for a Prosperous Future!

Sir, My son got 94.45percentile Jeemains, Mahindra CSE seat blocked, BITS 220marks Session 1, Manipal 148 marks and board 90%. He is interested in CSE or Maths and physics. What shall we do?
Ans: Kishore Sir, you have not mentioned your son's home state. However, please note that BITS typically requires a minimum of 240–250 marks even for MSc programs and above 290–320 for BE programs, especially for the CSE branch. Based on your son's scores, admission to NIT/IIIT CSE through JoSAA appears difficult; some newer IIITs and GFTIs may be possible through CSAB, mainly in lower-demand branches. Please keep Mahindra-CSE as a safe backup option. Regarding Manipal, MIT Manipal CSE is tough to get, but Mathematics & Computing or other CS-related branches may be borderline—last year’s CSE closing rank was near 5129 and Maths & Computing near 5633. MIT Bengaluru offers better chances for CSE/ECE, with the 2025 CSE closing rank around 11,331. Manipal Jaipur and SMIT Sikkim have very good chances for CSE, ECE, and AI-DS branches. Preference order could be MIT Manipal (Maths & Computing/CS specializations) → MIT Bengaluru (CSE/ECE) → Manipal Jaipur (CSE) → SMIT (CSE). If possible & if you/your son desire, have Thapar also as one of the backup options. Physics is a better option mainly for research-oriented goals; for his interests, CSE or Maths & Computing would be preferable unless he is strongly inclined toward research. ALL the BEST for Your Son's Prosperous Future!
