Ans: Welcome.
In your 1st question, you kept silence about JEE score and mhtcet result is yet to be declared. MIT campus CSE/ECE may be possible. To choose between the two, prefer Banglore if possible. Thanks

Dear sir I'm in trouble please help Sir i want to crack upsc in future but first i want to do btech so i have to choose recognized university Which university i should prefer according to you Galgotia college of engineering mein Mechanical, sharda mein CSE, KCC mein Cse?? And please also prefer me some reputable colleges of noida
Ans: Khushi, For UPSC aspirants seeking a BTech foundation, prioritize institutions with strong academic reputations and NIRF rankings to bolster credibility. Galgotias College (Mechanical), with its NAAC A++ accreditation and NIRF #201–300 engineering ranking, offers robust core engineering training, though its rigorous curriculum may limit UPSC study time. Sharda University (CSE), despite a lower NIRF #101–150 engineering rank, provides flexibility through tech-focused electives and NAAC A+ accreditation, aligning better with self-study schedules. KCC Institute (CSE), with a NIRF #653 rank and moderate placements, lacks the academic rigor needed for competitive exams. Recommendation: Opt for Sharda CSE for curriculum flexibility and reputable accreditation, or target higher-ranked Noida colleges like Jaypee Institute (NIRF #101–150) or Amity University (NIRF #30 Engineering) for superior academic ecosystems. For backups, consider JIIT Noida (NIRF #101–150) or GL Bajaj Institute (NIRF #150–200), which balance engineering rigor with extracurricular opportunities conducive to UPSC preparation. For perusing engineering course whether electrical engineering from NIT Raipur or computer science for IIIT Naya Raipur which one is preferrable
Ans: Sumit, NIT Raipur’s Electrical Engineering program demonstrates strong placement consistency, with an 86.32% placement rate (2024) and core roles in power systems, renewable energy, and embedded systems facilitated by its Industry Institute Collaboration Cell and partnerships with firms like Qualcomm and Bosch. The department’s NAAC A++ accreditation and NIRF #71 engineering ranking (2024) underscore its academic rigor, though its focus on traditional sectors may limit exposure to emerging tech domains. In contrast, IIIT Naya Raipur’s CSE reports 100% placement rates (2023) with roles in AI/ML and data science, supported by partnerships with Microsoft and Amazon, though its NIRF #101–200 ranking reflects nascent institutional credibility. While IIIT’s curriculum integrates cutting-edge tech, its reliance on off-campus recruitment (40–50% placements) and limited alumni networks may affect long-term career mobility compared to NIT Raipur’s established industry linkages. Recommendation: Opt for NIT Raipur Electrical Engineering for stable core-sector careers and institutional prestige, prioritizing IIIT Naya Raipur CSE only if targeting niche tech roles despite higher market volatility and newer academic infrastructure.

Anyone please suggest which branch should i take, I'm not interested in coding. I am expecting 8k rank in adv and i got 6.6k in mains, should i go for iit or nit. I am thinking about electrical or electronics, but i can take any other also.
Ans: Pradeep, With an expected JEE Advanced rank of 8,000, Electrical Engineering (EE) at mid-tier IITs like IIT Bhubaneswar (2024 closing rank: 7,661) or IIT Mandi (closing rank: 6,909) is feasible, while Electronics Engineering (ECE) at IIT Jammu (closing rank: 8,778) remains borderline. These IITs report 85–90% placement rates in core roles, with opportunities in power systems, renewable energy, and embedded systems. For NITs, your JEE Main rank of 6,600 aligns with ECE at NIT Trichy (2024 closing rank: 3,546) or EE at NIT Surathkal (closing rank: 7,132), which offer 90%+ placement rates in hardware design, IoT, and telecommunications. While IITs provide institutional prestige and research infrastructure, NITs often deliver stronger industry linkages for core electronics roles. Recommendation: Prioritize EE at IIT Bhubaneswar/Mandi for interdisciplinary flexibility and global research exposure, or opt for ECE at NIT Trichy/Warangal for hands-on industry training. If core roles are prioritized over brand value, NITs are preferable. For backups, consider Mechanical Engineering at IIT Palakkad (closing rank: 12,540) or Metallurgical Engineering at NIT Rourkela (closing rank: 34,496), which balance foundational engineering with emerging sectors like smart manufacturing. I have 148 marks in iat and 106 marks in wbjee can I get iiser kolkata, bhopal or jadavpur which to prefer?? Wb domicile general
Ans: Indranil, With 148 marks in IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) and 106 marks in WBJEE, your prospects vary significantly across institutions. For IISER Kolkata, historical data indicates a General category cutoff of 150–160 marks (2024), making your score marginally competitive but contingent on annual rank fluctuations and seat availability. IISER Bhopal’s expected cutoff ranges from 110–115 marks, aligning closely with your IAT score, particularly for programs like BS Engineering Science (2024 closing rank: 5,395). However, Jadavpur University’s CSE remains unattainable with a WBJEE rank of ~5,900–6,300 (106 marks), as its 2024 closing rank for General category was 89. Even for less competitive branches like ECE (closing rank: 280) or IT (closing rank: 282), your WBJEE rank exceeds thresholds.

Recommendation: Prioritize IISER Bhopal or Kolkata via IAT, leveraging their 90%+ placement rates in research and academia, while considering Jadavpur only if opting for non-CSE branches through state counseling, though admission remains unlikely. For career flexibility, IISERs offer robust interdisciplinary curricula and global research opportunities, whereas Jadavpur’s industry linkages are inaccessible with your current WBJEE performance. All the BEST for your Admission & a Prosperous Future!
