My cholesterol is over 340 mg/dL. I am taking medication and I have been asked to do some exercises. I am 45 and my weight is 84 kg. Can you please suggest some yoga asanas to help reduce cholesterol levels?
Ans: High cholesterol can increase health risks, but with the right lifestyle changes, including yoga, diet, and medication, you can improve your heart health. Yoga helps by improving blood circulation, reducing stress, and boosting metabolism.

Yoga Asanas to Reduce Cholesterol:
? Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutations) – 6-12 rounds daily to improve heart health and burn fat.
? Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose) – Stimulates digestion and reduces belly fat.
? Setu Bandhasana (Bridge Pose) – Opens the chest and strengthens the heart.
? Ardha Matsyendrasana (Seated Twist) – Supports liver function and detoxifies the body.
? Vrikshasana (Tree Pose) – Improves balance and circulation.

Pranayama (Breathing Exercises) for Heart Health:
? Anulom Vilom (Alternate Nostril Breathing) – Regulates blood pressure and reduces stress.
? Bhramari Pranayama (Humming Bee Breath) – Calms the mind and supports heart function.

Lifestyle Tips:
Eat a fiber-rich diet (fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains).
Avoid oily, processed, and sugary foods.
Walk 30 minutes daily and stay hydrated.
Why You Need a Yoga Coach?
Practicing under guidance ensures you do the right asanas safely and effectively. With consistency and proper coaching, you’ll see positive changes in your health. Start today and take control of your well-being!

hello sir i am 17 year old girl i was a topper in class 10th after that i took dummy schooling plus online coaching in my 11th and 12th grade to prepare for neet but then i ruined my life completely by getting into social media and youtube addiction in 11th 1 used to spend 11hrs daily on social media my mental health was ruining i was having constant guilt and anxiety and then in 12th i did continued this routine until october my mental health was completely disturbed i dont have any friends i cant focus on studies my attention span is very bad i cant concentrate on my studies. i feel very bad for my parents they have told me to focus on my board and now my screen time is 3-4 hrs .i am trying to quit social media i have deleted instagram i cant delete youtube because i have to study but i cant study because of procastination now my boards are going on and i have completely ruined myself i dont think that i will be able to score more than 75 % in 12th .i scored 92 % in 10th .i feel bad for my parents they have very high expectation . i am loosing my mind day by day i dont know what to do .i am filled with all the negative thoughts .i have tried quitting social media or say dopamine detox but i have failed many times 13 -17 times .i cant fulfill my own promise which i made to myself .what should i do now?
Ans: Hello Zaira
Start with some steps as follows
1. 45 mts study window & then 5/10 mts break
2. Keep your phone off/locked and kept away during these 45 mts
3. Check phone only during scheduled breaks
4. Make notes & study from there rather than directly from online resources
5. Keep company with one or two focused students in your circle & interact regularly regarding studies etc.
Every time you feel the urge of going back to old ways, remind yourself of your immediate "Life Goals". There will be ample time for everything else later in life.
Remember there is no substitute for "DISCIPLINE" & that is the only way to reach your goals.
All the Best !!

Relationships Expert, Mind Coach - Answered on Mar 05, 2025

Relationship
I have a cousin brother (21 years). He is 5 years elder than me. His father & my father are own brothers. His father is also 5 years elder than my father. I am concerned about something. My cousin brother always orders my mother (40 years old) for such things who nobody wants to do. She obeys him always quietly without any hesitation. Like if he ask her to bath twice or thrice in a day, then she will bath thrice in a day. If he ask her to dance, then she will dance also. If he ask her to press his legs, then she will press his legs. If he ask her to not to eat anything, then she will not eat anything. She is totally behaving like his slave. I told about it to my father. He ignored my words & called it rubbish. I asked my mother why she is behaving like this, but she doesn't answer. I asked my cousin brother why is he doing like this & why is my mother obeying his words, he said it's none of my business. Can you please help & tell what's going on ??
Ans: Dear Anonymous,
It is kind of strange to see your mother act like this around him. This is definitely not something usual or causal and there is something deeper than what you can see or understand.
Does you father and his brother also notice the same or are they pretending to not notice it? This could give you a good understanding of what is going on. If your father is ignoring it, then kindly ask him to take some time out and explain this to you. On your part, spend more time with your mother; take her out, shop together, show her some fun time...encourage her to pursue some hobby or educational learning classes outside of home. When she starts to feel good about herself and does things for herself, she might be able to stand up for herself and push this fellow away.

All the best!
