Hello sir I am jee dropper student wanting to give jee mains 2026 and MHT CET too. I am general candidate from Maharashtra so how much percentile should I bring for getting ece branch in nits and iits as well as COEP and vjti

Ans: To secure an ECE seat at top National Institutes of Technology (NITs), a JEE Main percentile of around 94–95 is generally needed, with slightly lower?ranked NITs accepting between 90–94 percentile. Qualifying for JEE Advanced (to access IIT seats) requires at least a 93–94 percentile in JEE Main, and successful IIT ECE admits typically emerge from JEE Advanced ranks within approximately 1 500–7 000, corresponding to a JEE Advanced percentile above 95. For Maharashtra Home State institutions via MHT CET, both College of Engineering, Pune and VJTI Mumbai demand extremely high percentiles for ECE—99+ in CAP I and CAP II rounds—making 99.0–99.5 percentile the target for assured admission in these premier colleges.

Aim for a 95+ percentile in JEE Main to access most top NIT ECE programmes and secure JEE Advanced qualification. Concurrently, target a 99+ percentile in MHT CET to guarantee ECE admission at COEP and VJTI.All the BEST for Admission & a Prosperous Future!
